The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian and ex-husband Kanye West need to come to a custody agreement soon, or the former couple will be heading to court. After Kim was granted legally single, it seemed like she was finally free from Kanye's hold, but the rapper isn't letting her off so easily. In between taking shots at Kim's new boyfriend Pete Davidson and going on angry Instagram rants, Kanye has been criticizing Kim's parenting skills and making false claims about how often he's allowed to see his children. It all started back in January when Kanye was not invited to his daughter Chicago's birthday party and took the family drama public, eventually seeking out help from Travis Scott.

The rapper has also continuously complained about his daughter, North West, making videos on TikTok without his permission. He was disturbed to see his 8-year-old daughter wearing lipstick in a video on the app and later began campaigning for Jesus-Tok, a religious alternative. He recently continued his anger towards the app, expressing his disapproval of his daughter lipsyncing to "emo girl" by Machine Gun Kelly and Willow Smith. However, Kim soon grew tired of his claims about their children and let the world know that Kanye sees his children regularly and has not been banned from spending time with them as he wants the world to think.

Now it seems the two need to figure out the battle around their children, or they'll have to talk it out in court. TMZ broke the news that there's a good chance Kim and Kanye will have to continue their fight in front of a judge. According to the report, Kanye's lawyer, Samantha Spector, is making custody her top priority and is trying to establish a more official custody agreement than the current one. Currently, the exes have an informal agreement where Kanye can see the kids when he's in town, as long as they don't have any prior commitments, for example, school responsibilities. If Spector's efforts fail, she will then ask a judge to inflict "ground rules" for custody and visitation rights.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian on Keeping Up With The Kardashians

The biggest dilemma Kim and Kanye are facing is that the rapper travels in and out of LA quite often. This makes it difficult to set a formal arrangement when his schedule is ever-changing. Sources also revealed that Kanye has spent three days with his children in the last week and took 3 of his four children to his Donda 2 event; North was unavailable due to school priorities. The sources also claim the former couple hardly speak to each other ad haven't for quite some time. It seems highly likely Kim and Kanye will take their fight to court.

There's always a chance Kanye will change his mind and make things easier for Kim and his children, but it seems despite The Kardashians star's legally single status, she'll still be dealing with Kanye for a while. Their whole situation is stressful and draining, and it would be a lot easier on everyone if Kanye would lay his armor down, especially considering it would be best for his children. Unfortunately, the rapper is not one for surrendering, so there's no telling how much longer the custody battle may continue. Hopefully, in the end, they reach a mutual agreement that works out in everyone's favor.
