The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian seemingly defended her boyfriend Pete Davidson amidst Kanye West's attacks by liking James Gunn's tweet calling Pete a sweet guy. The tweet comes just a day after Kanye took arguably his most disturbing shot at the Saturday Night Live star. In January, Kanye released his song "Eazy" with The Game and debuted the lyric "God saved me from that crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a––." At the time, Pete didn't mind the lyric, reportedly expecting to be targeted by Kanye and finding the lyric funny. However, since Kanye's Instagram rants calling out Kim's boyfriend, the comedian no longer seems to be on Kanye's side.

In Kanye's new music video, he takes his attacks on Pete to a new extreme, this time burying the sketch comedy actor alive and paying roses around his grave. He then seems to clip the flowers and put them in a pickup truck, mimicking the Valentine's Day gift he gave Kim. The rapper's violent video comes after he shared private texts from Pete to Instagram and claimed he would never allow the star to meet his children. Despite Kim legally being declared single, Kanye seems set on saving his marriage to the reality star.

If Kim's recent legal move, which also granted her permission to drop West from her name, wasn't proof enough that she's over Kanye and his antics, her recent Twitter likes may act as evidence. Kim liked a tweet from American filmmaker James Gunn, praising Pete and seemingly defending him against all the drama with Kanye. "For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know," the director tweeted. "A truly generous, tender & funny spirit, he treats everyone around him with respect." James worked with Pete on his film The Suicide Squad, which premiered in August 2021, a little over two months before Kim and Pete were first spotted together on a date.

The tweet currently appears at the top of Kim's liked tweets, and it's likely as a result of all Kanye has been up to as of late. While Kim has remained quiet in response to his latest video, many reports say Kim is over Kanye's behavior, and there is no chance that the two will reunite. Sources also claim that Kim and Pete are very happy together, and they aren't letting Kanye get in between their relationship. Pete even seems to be growing close to Kim's family as he sent her sister Khloe roses for Valentine's Day amidst the recent cheating allegations against her ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson.

While Kim may be keeping quiet about Kanye's attack on Pete for now, liking James' tweet was her subtle way of letting the world know how great of a guy Pete is. It seems she also agrees Pete does not deserve the constant hatred Kanye is throwing his way, and while she hasn't said it, she may also feel a little guilty for bringing Pete into the mess. However, being the sweet guy he is, Pete hasn't blamed Kim and seems to be in it for the long run, even if it means dealing with her unpredictable ex-husband. The Kardashians star must be very grateful to have such a kind man by her side amid all her divorce drama.
