Kim Kardashian has reflected on the past 20 seasons of Keeping up with the Kardashians and has nothing but gratitude for the years she spent doing the show. KUWTK has become a huge success since they aired their first season in 2007. Not only did the show catapult Kim's career to new heights, but it jumpstarted careers for her sisters. KUWTK has done so much for Kim and her family. If it weren't for the show, there would be no Kim Kardashian.

When the first episode aired in 2007, viewers were captivated by Kim and her family dynamic. Not only was her father, Robert Kardashian Sr., the lawyer to O.J Simpson during his infamous murder case, but her stepfather was Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner (who went by Bruce Jenner at the time). Besides her interesting family backstory, viewers tuned in to see the hilarious antics the Kardashians-Jenners would get into, such as pranking their mother, Kris Jenner. Kim is grateful for what the show has done for her but is ready to move on to bigger opportunities.

During Kim's interview with Good Morning Vogue, she reflected on the past 20 seasons and how much she has evolved since the show aired. "I look back and I think, oh, my God, there are so many embarrassing things on TV for the world to see," the mother of four told Vogue contributor Jonathan Van Meter, adding, "but I’m so grateful for the evolution, because I’ve learned so much." Kim admitted she is so grateful the viewers enjoyed watching her family so much, they allowed the show to air for 20 seasons. "We didn’t really expect it to go on this long. We were just having fun. I think we’re all so happy we made it to 20 seasons and genuinely so excited," she continued.

While many would find a camera following around your home all day to be an annoyance, Kim believes filming their lives for so long was actually a blessing. "To have all of those memories and home videos for almost 15 years … That’s amazing," she said. Kim then added, "I grew up with so many home videos because that’s all my dad did. So it’s kind of a continuum of that." What was most upsetting to the family about ending the show was having to say goodbye to their crew. "We all really love doing this and we love our crew ... It was an emotional decision," Kim admitted. Their crew was like family to them, so when Kim had to tell them the show will not be returning after season 20 she felt emotionally drained. "I was super emotional when my audio girl gave me my mic. It was my mic through the first 10 seasons. It’s just really special," the reality star concluded.

Kim and the rest Kardashian-Jenner clan owe their lives to this reality TV show. Not only did the show open so many doors for Kim, but it allowed her to start her two most accomplished businesses: KKW Beauty and SKIMS. The show also gave her youngest sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner their own platforms allowing them to brand off into beauty and modeling. KUWTK has been a stepping stone for so much success in Kim's family, and they will be forever grateful for what it had given them.
