Recently, the ending of Kim-ye went from rumor to real. Over the summer, there were rumors that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were on the verge of divorce. Now that Kim Kardashian is a single woman, fans can’t help but wonder if she’ll consider hitting up an old ex. If the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star were to rekindle a romance with a past boyfriend, who would it be?
The divorce gossip started when the rapper began his campaign for president during the 2020 US Election. Shortly after starting his campaign, he appeared at a rally and had a very public meltdown. As a result of personal details he revealed about the birth of their first child, North West, people suspected Kim might be considering ending things with Kanye. In January, a source stated, “They are keeping it low key but they are done. Kim has hired Laura Wasser [divorce attorney] and they are in settlement talks.”
Now that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is single again, one likely candidate for a rekindled romance is Nick Lachey. After his split from Jessica Simpson, Kim was the first woman he dated. They only went on one date, so there could be more for them to explore as a couple. Unfortunately, Nick is currently married to Vanessa Minnillo, so it might not be in the stars for them. In 2010, Kardashian briefly dated Halle Berry’s ex, Gabriel Aubry. They didn’t date for very long, but reportedly got along quite well.
Things ended between Kardashian and Aubry because Berry was allegedly displeased, which scared Kardashian away. Now that time has passed, maybe Berry is completely over her ex and there’s a bigger future for Kardashian and Aubry. He’s still a single man, so there’s a chance they could date again. Plus, he has a child, so Kim and Aubry could bond over raising children after a breakup. The last ex Kim might rekindle the flame with is Miles Austin. “He’s a pretty shy and low-key guy, so he’s perfect for her,” Page Six reported at one point. After they broke up, they apparently remained friends, so there could be a future there. However, he’s currently married to Stacy Sydlo, which means the timing is off for them too.
On the other hand, there are a few lovers Kim is highly unlikely to consider dating again. Damon Thomas, the man she married at 19 but quickly divorced, is one. “He said he wanted to know where I was at all times,” Kardashian said during her 2003 divorce proceedings. In the midst of Kim’s breakup with Damon, she began a well known relationship with Ray J. Considering the way things ended with them – tons of cheating and a high-profile sex tape – it’s unlikely Kim will be hitting up Ray J again. In addition, Kardashian admitted she was under the influence of ecstasy during both these relationships. “I did ecstasy once and I got married. I did it again, I made a sex tape. Like, everything bad would happen,” Kim said in 2018 on KUWTK. Clearly, she doesn’t want to reopen that chapter of her life.
In terms of old flames, the best option for Kim would be Gabriel Aubry. He’s still single, and their past relationship was quite short and didn’t end in horror. Although now that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is a bachelorette, she might be interested in dating new people as opposed to revisiting old boyfriends. Only time will tell who the beautiful, talented Kardashian dates next.
