Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer discuss their favorite scenes over the course of Killing Eve. The BBC America series, Killing Eve, follows the cat-and-mouse chase between Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), a British intelligence investigator, and Villanelle (Jodie Comer), an enigmatic and psychopathic hired assassin. Over the course of the series, Eve and Villanelle become closer, even to sometimes share romantic moments with each other. However, this obsessive and toxic relationship they share with one another often leads to themselves as well as their nearest and dearest being pushed away or put in danger.

The majority of the series does not spend much time with Villanelle and Eve in the same room, which is part of what makes those scenes so memorable and fun to watch. Villanelle often still communicates with Eve when they are separated, usually in the form of gifts and murders committed in a style so gruesome and unique, Eve can only assume it’s the work of Villanelle and a form of her bragging. When Eve and Villanelle do share the same space, there’s often the tension within Villanelle’s psychopathic humor, which both disturbs yet intrigues Eve, as well as a romantic tension that builds over the course of the series.

Oh and Comer recently discussed some of their favorite moments that they've shared on screen together in an interview with TVLine. From the most recent season, Oh recalls being particularly fond of the slow dance shared with Comer towards the end of the season as well as the explosive fight they have on a bus towards the beginning of the season. Going back to the first season of the series, Oh sentimentally points out the scene where she and Villanelle eat Shepherd's pie in Eve's kitchen as another favorite.

Killing Eve season 4 Sandra Oh Jodie Comer

Continuing with the first season, Comer shares that the scene when Eve stabs Villanelle in the season finale is "strangely" one of her favorite scenes from the entire series. Comer also teased that there are some great moments from the upcoming season between the two characters. She stated that there will be a lot of "firsts in this season for the audience to see with these two women together." She jokingly mentioned that people's respective lists of their favorite scenes of Eve and Villanelle together may have to be rewritten after watching this upcoming season.

The finales of seasons 1 and 2 of Killing Eve end with one of the characters performing an unexpected act of violence on the other. The finale of season 3 does not continue this trend of violence, but does end with them meeting on a bridge and once again parting ways. This leads the audience to believe that Eve and Villanelle have made the decision to leave each other for good in order to put their respective lives together, recognizing that their relationship is not a healthy one. However, as mentioned by Comer, the two characters will likely find their way back to one another as their pull towards each other is shown to be undeniable. One fan theory predicts that Villanelle may end up working with MI6 as opposed to being its target in the upcoming season. Whether this or some other forces will bring Eve and Villanelle back together, and whether one of the "firsts" that Comer teases in the upcoming season includes them finally being able to have a healthy relationship remains to be seen. The fourth and final season of Killing Eve airs this Sunday, February 27.
