Quentin Tarantino reveals Kill Bill 3 may become a reality, and that it's still in the cards. It has been 16 years since Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume 1 was first released. The instant classic was followed by Kill Bill: Volume 2 the year after, though some consider them to be a single movie. While fans have been waiting patiently to find out if they'd see Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman), aka the Bride/Black Mamba again, there haven't been any major developments. There have also been many discussions about whether Kill Bill 3 would even happen.

Since Kill Bill, Tarantino has gone on to create other critically and commercially successful films like Inglourious BasterdsDjango UnchainedThe Hateful Eight, and most recently, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. There has been plenty of speculation about what the Kill Bill 3 story may be, but nothing substantial. The first two volumes of Kill Bill revolved around Thurman's character, a former assassin seeking revenge against her former boss and colleagues for murdering her husband and unborn child at her wedding. The stylized, hyper violent homage to grindhouse cinema gave fans some of the most memorable action sequences in cinema.

During a recent interview with Andy Cohen on Andy Cohen Live, Tarantino gave an update about Kill Bill: Volume 3. Toward the end of the interview, Cohen brought up the sequel and asked if there were updates on whether it will happen. In response, Tarantino told Cohen, "I do have an idea of what I would do with it." He then said he thinks it'll be very interesting. According to Tarantino, the central question in creating a sequel would be conquering the concept, "what's happened to the Bride since then, and what do I want to do?" He does not want to give the Bride just any old adventure. Tarantino said that the Bride "doesn't deserve that, because she's fought long and hard." However, Tarantino did state he wouldn't do the sequel for a little bit, and that it would be at least three years from now. Tarantino ends the discussion on Kill Bill 3 by saying, "It is definitely in the cards."

Cohen also asked if Tarantino will make another movie before Kill Bill 3, to which Tarantino answered, "No." However, this is because Tarantino has several other projects in the pipeline. Tarantino mentioned a play that he wrote and a five-episode TV series, which will be what he works on over the next three years. There are plenty more Tarantino projects to look forward to.

Tarantino may have taken a brief hiatus from filmmaking during the nearly four years between The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but it's clear that he's been keeping busy. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was released in August, and it currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 85 percent. It earned over $357.4 million worldwide. While three years may seem pretty far off, fortunately, it appears that Tarantino fans will have much to look forward to while they wait patiently for Kill Bill 3 - that is, of course, if it truly does happen.
