A new fan poster for Kill Bill: Volume 3 imagines Maya Hawke, daughter to original star Uma Thurman, starring in the potential Quentin Tarantino film. Tarantino's two-part homage to the grindhouse and samurai genres first launched in 2003 with Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and concluded the following year with the similarly-acclaimed Vol. 2. Both films were also financial hits, grossing a combined $333 million worldwide on a combined $60 million budget.

The films followed Thurman's Beatrix Kiddo, primarily known as The Bride, as she seeks revenge on a team of assassins and their leader after they disrupt her wedding and attempt to kill her and her unborn child. Vol. 1 focused primarily on her battles with Vivica A. Fox's Vernita Green and Lucy Liu's O-Ren Ishii. Meanwhile, Vol. 2 saw The Bride go after the rest of the group and its leader, while also exploring her origin story of samurai training. Considering the success of the first two films and their story, many are hoping Kill Bill: Vol. 3 will happen at some point.

After years of the idea floating around and Tarantino even discussing his ideas for Kill Bill: Vol. 3, artist Spdrmnkyxxiii revealed a new fan poster for the potential film. The poster imagines Hawke at the forefront of the story, adorned in a yellow leather jacket similar to the one worn by her mother in the first two films. Tarantino's first two films certainly ended in a conclusive manner, but there is one plot thread many audiences have pointed to for the potential continuation with Nikki Bell, Vernita's daughter. After having killed her mother, The Bride offered to let her come for revenge in the future if she so desires. Fox herself has expressed her interest in Zendaya carrying on the role of Nikki in Kill Bill: Vol. 3, and Tarantino himself has stated should it happen, he would love to cast Hawke as The Bride's daughter, B.B., who was revealed to have survived the attempted assassination.

Though the filmmaker has discussed the exhaustion experienced from shooting the first two films, the idea of Zendaya and Hawke facing off in Kill Bill: Vol 3 is exciting. With many stories of revenge highlighting the thematic notion that it only leads to an endless cycle of violence, it would be interesting to see Tarantino run with this concept and have Nikki come back and finish off The Bride, only for B.B. to seek out revenge for her mother's death. Only time will tell whether Tarantino elects to make Kill Bill: Vol. 3 his final film in the director's chair or goes a different path.
