In the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, it seems Kourtney Kardashian was on the outs with sisters Kim and Khloé after being confronted that she has too many boundaries. The hit show has made its mark dominating the reality television landscape as the sisters have withstood 17 seasons together. Viewers have watched the sisters argue before, but the confrontation seemed to leave fans scared for the future of the show, questioning what members of the family would remain as leading cast members.

The three eldest sisters of the family have always had equal contracts that permit them to share elements of their lives that will drive main storylines. The argument between the sisters sparked when Kourtney Kardashian refused to film certain elements of her life, such as dating and parenting moments. Due to Kourtney’s lack of air time, this left Kim and Khloé to film more hours. However, not all family members have remained on the show, such as Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Rob Kardashian, leaving fans suspicious of why all family members were not equally featured.

According to Us Weekly, after the latest episode on Sunday, December 8, Khloé went on Twitter to answer a fan question. Khloé said, “Kendall and Kylie have different contracts. Kourt, Kim and I have an equal contract.” Since season 7, Rob Kardashian went from being a staple on the show to only appearing in a few scenes a season. As for Kendall and Kylie, once Kendall developed her career in modeling and Kylie launched her cosmetics empire, the younger sisters also took a backseat role from the series.

When Kourtney began to hide more from the cameras, Kim and Khloé only became more curious of what she wasn’t choosing to film. Kim said in one of her confessional interviews, “All of the days that Kourtney isn’t filming, Khloé and I are picking up the slack and having to share more. Because if we’re not sharing our lives, then what is the show?” From when the show premiered back in 2007, the three older sisters dominated the screen, especially since Kendall and Kylie were only 11 and 10 when the show began to air.

During Sunday night's episode, Kourtney shared that her priorities have shifted, especially as her kids are getting older. She said, "I of course am grateful for all the years of filming our show. But, you know, I've spent so many years on camera and I'm just in a different headspace. It just was a lot of pressure on an everyday life and I've just outgrown that. I think the private moments are so special and I just need more of them." In previous seasons, Kourtney has shared many dramatic moments between herself and ex boyfriend, Scott Disick. The show documented many breakups, fights, and family moments between the then-couple. Kourtney also shared with viewers the birth of her three children: Mason, Penelope, and Reign.

After the sisters and mother, Kris Jenner, sat down with producers, it was clear Kourtney did not want to change the boundaries she established. “My well-being is more important than the show,” Kourtney declared before leaving the room. “I’m not giving in and I’m not going to change my boundaries. That’s not gonna happen.” Although the future of who will remain leading cast members is still up in the air, Kourtney has expressed that she is most interested in spending her time with her children and is focused on her role as a mother. The sisters teased that season 18 is currently being filmed and more of this discussion will be revealed to fans.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs on E! Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
