Khloe Kardashian reportedly comforted Kim Kardashian after her sex tape was mentioned during Blac Chyna's trial against The Kardashians family. Kim and Khloe, and Kylie and Kris Jenner, were in court on Monday for the jury selection process ahead of the trial. Around 80 people were brought in for questioning to determine their potential as a juror in the case. But there was one prospect who didn't think they could be impartial in the case since they've watched Kim and Ray J's tape. The reveal caused a reaction in the courtroom that might've embarrassed Kim.
Blac Chyna is finally getting her day in court against the Kardashians over the cancelation of her short-lived series Rob & Chyna. Rob's ex-fiancé accused his mom and sisters of conspiring behind her back to get the show axed after their messy 2017 breakup. Despite how long it's taken, Chyna hasn't let down and worked hard to get the case taken to trial, all while Rob and Chyna have continued co-parenting their daughter, Dream Kardashian. Rob also dismissed his lawsuit against Chyna in February.
As Blac Chyna's pending trial against the KarJenner family approaches, the Los Angeles Superior Court is figuring out who will sit on the jury. Kim, Khloe, Kylie and Kris stepped out on Monday to attend the jury selection process, where Blac Chyna was also in attendance. During questioning, Kardashian-Jenner attorney Michael Rhodes asked a group of potential jurors if they had strong positive or negative feelings toward reality television, Page Six reported. There was one man who admitted to having never watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians but did see Kim's X-rated tape with her ex Ray J. “I have watched [Kim] Kardashian’s sex tape, and I don’t think I can be impartial on this case," the man said. The comment caused the court to erupt in laughter. Khloe was seen fixing Kim's hair as if to comfort her.
It's the latest jab at Kim's ego over her old controversial tape. In the series premiere of The Kardashians on Hulu, Kim became an emotional wreck after Saint West showed her a message he received on Roblox pertaining to the tape. Kim called Kanye West in tears, upset about the disturbing situation. No matter how hard Kim works or how successful she gets, she can't seem to shake what many consider her claim to fame. When KUWTK premiered back in 2007, many assumed Kim landed the show due to the talk surrounding her name because of the tape.
The tape being mentioned in court where everyone laughed about it was a major dig at Kim's brand. She's a billionaire business mogul with international superstardom and a successful family behind her. The Kardashians worked hard to build their empire in the years since the tape was released. Kim being reminded about it in front of her family and a whole courtroom might've been embarrassing. It's a good thing Khloe was there to support her sister.
