Fans think it's time Khloé Kardashian starts taking responsibility for herself after they learned The Kardashians star is expecting another child with perpetual cheater Tristan Thompson. The news broke on July 13 when sources claimed Khloé and Tristan were welcoming baby number 2 via surrogate mother. The baby was reportedly conceived in November, before Khloé and her family found out about Tristan's paternity scandal. The public did not learn about the scandal until early December, seemingly at the same time that Khloé learned her ex-boyfriend had fathered a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols the night of his 30th birthday.
The season finale of The Kardashians chronicled Khloé's earth-shattering experience of finding out about the scandal at a time when she thought things were improving between her and Tristan. Looking back on the episode, it seems clear Khloé and her family knew she and Tristan were expecting another child together as Kim made a comment about the situation being sad because Khloé wants a baby boy, and instead, Tristan had one with Maralee. It also adds to why Khloé was so upset about the scandal. While it's heartbreaking on its own because Khloé had hopes of the two reconciling, the surrogate baby situation was likely more upsetting.
However, fans seem to have little sympathy for Khloé this time around and feel The Kardashians star shouldn't be viewed as a victim anymore. "Aren't you guys tired of feeling bad for Khloe and painting her as victim?" Reddit fan Organic-Cow-8889 asked. The fan explained that they've seen a lot of people still feeling bad for Khloé but doesn't understand why when it's her who chooses to go back to Tristan no matter what he does. "First time you're a victim...multiple times you're a volunteer," another fan responded.
Tristan's first cheating scandal occurred only days before Khloé gave birth to the pair's daughter True Thompson in 2018. Khloé quickly took Tristan back, but the pair were off again after he hooked up with Kylie Jenner's former BFF Jordyn Woods. The two seemed to be done for good but rekindled their relationship again in 2020 during the COVID 19 quarantine. To no one's surprise, more cheating rumors came out in June 2021, and the couple broke up but were seemingly together again by October. Unfortunately, for Tristan, things ended for good when the paternity scandal broke. Fans feel like at this point, Khloé is responsible for taking back her cheating ex as one Reddit fan declared, "We are all done coddling her."
As the old saying goes, fool me once, shame on you; fool me four times, and fans are going to stop having sympathy. The Kardashians have a long history of sticking around in toxic relationships long past their expiration dates. It's made fans wonder what went on in their childhoods that caused them to attract cheaters and stand by their side no matter what happens. Khloé seems to fall into this pattern most of all, and while she may lean on fans for sympathy, she isn't getting any this time. Hopefully, Khloé chooses to keep her co-parenting with Tristan platonic this time and sets strong boundaries to let him know their relationship is over for good. If The Kardashians star does take him back again, who knows how fans will react.
