This decision came in the wake of Tristan's cheating scandal and paternity drama. Prior to Tristan's drama with fitness model Maralee Nichols, he and Khloe planned to move in together at her luxury Hidden Hills home.
The past few months have been nothing short of revealing for the Kardashians and their fans. Caught up in all the drama is Khloé Kardashian and her scandalous baby daddy, Tristan Thompson. Since December 2021, Tristan has been entwined in a series of dramas with his former lover, Maralee Nichols. It all started with Nichols coming out to share with the public that she welcomed a son with the NBA player. Tristan denied it, and a brief back and forth resulted in Tristan confirming that he had fathered another child, and it was with Nichols. The star tendered an apology to Khloé, letting her know that she didn't deserve his misconduct. Khloé did not immediately respond to Tristan's public apology. Still, insiders later confirmed that she appreciated the gesture. The source relayed, "Khloé decided not to respond back publicly, but privately she let him know she appreciated the message." Khloe reportedly took the "high road," and "she'll never ever get back with him." The insider also shared that all Khloé was for Tristan to be a good father to their daughter and be a "big part of her life."
While the entrepreneur wants the best co-parenting style for the sake of her daughter, she has made it clear that she and Tristan are no longer a thing. According to an ET source, Khloé is "really hurt and saddened by Tristan's action," and the apology he tendered on the internet did not help matters. While adding that the cheating scandal and its aftermath had been "a tough pill for her to swallow," the source stated that Khloé was "unsettled and pretty crushed." The insider spoke of the time the 37-year-old and Tristan were on good terms and had plans of moving in together. All this was before the paternity issue, and once Tristan's cheating scandal was confirmed, Khloé changed her mind. Tristan even put his house on sale after Khloé's decision not to let him move in within her, he pulled out of escrow on his Encino house.
Through the drama and ordeal, Khloé Kardashian is not alone. The star was said to have leaned on her mother, Kris Jenner, for much-needed support. Reports also showed that Jenner tried to be the voice of reasoning as she told Khloé to "keep the line of communication open" for their daughter's sake. The insider stated that the TV personality wanted a "fairytale" with Tristan and only ended up being devastated. However, she was thankful that Jenner had been there all along.
