Khloé Kardashian, of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson are finally in a good place after their massive fallout earlier this year. In a recent Instagram post, Khloé showed off a thoughtful gift from the father of her baby girl. But don't assume this troubled couple is getting back together. According to Khloé's commentary, the new stage in their relationship is all about coming together for the sake of their daughter, True.
Khloé and Tristan were first spotted together in August of 2016. After dating consistently and declaring their love for one another, the pair announced Khloé's pregnancy in December 2017. Right before the birth of their daughter, however, video footage emerged of Tristan cheating on Khloé months earlier, when Khloé was only 3 months pregnant. Khloé forgave the NBA player, but earlier this year their fragile relationship came crashing down when Tristan cheated on Khloé again, this time with Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods. After that indiscretion, Khloé made it clear that a reconciliation wasn't in the cards this time. However, she reaffirmed again and again that the couple was most focused on co-parenting their daughter.
Although recent behavior sparked rumors that Khloé and Tristan might be back together, Khloé cleared the air in a new Instagram post. After launching her pink diamond KKW Fragrance, Khloé took to her Instagram story to show off a pink balloon arrangement that spelled out the name of her new scent. According to People, Khloé explained in the video that the balloons were from both True and Tristan. "I really appreciate the love and the thoughtfulness," Khloé said in the clip. However, she also went on to explain that the balloons were a gesture of her and Tristan coming together for the sake of their baby girl, and not a sign that the pair are back together. "I’m really proud at the co-parenting place that we are in," Khloé added at the end of their story.
The balloon arrangement came just days after Tristan left a flirty comment on Khloé's social media. When she posted a promotional photo for her new scent, Tristan appeared in the comments with two hearts and a crown emoji, congratulating her for her hard work. While the comment was innocuous enough, Tristan also commented on a post in September of the sun shining behind Khloé, saying, “The sun is shining bright on a beautiful [diamond].” Even though the pair split very publicly in February, their friendly interactions on social media have fans scratching their heads as to their real relationship status.
Despite their fraught history, the idea that Khloé and Tristan might reconcile once again isn't totally out of the realm of possibility. Khloé has made it clear that she's not interested in holding a grudge and, although she says she's ready to move forward, she has forgiven Tristan for cheating once before. However, if her comments are to be believed, the ex-couple really is focused on creating a healthy environment for baby True. If that's the case, it's pretty clear that they need to stay out of a relationship for the well-being of everyone involved. Tristan might be working to make amends with his baby mama, but let's hope the flirty comments and thoughtful gifts are nothing more than a drawn-out apology for his hurtful actions.
