Khloé Kardashian recently admitted in an interview that Keeping Up With the Kardashians almost didn't happen. Thanks to a little luck, the Kardashian-Jenner clan was able to continue filming after another television show fell through.

As many fans may know, KUWTK will be coming to an end this year after 14 years on-air and 20 seasons. The family was able to create many memories together on-screen, leading to many iconic moments fans of the show will remember forever. Throughout the show, fans got to witness Kim get married twice, see Khloé's wedding to Lamar Odom, and watch Kourtney give birth to all her children, just to name a few memorable events. Not to mention, KUWTK was able to create a slew of different spin-offs from this one reality series. While fans will miss their family antics, Hulu will hopefully give viewers the Kardashian-Jenner content they need.

According to E!, Khloé revealed during an interview with Kelly Clarkson on The Kelly Clarkson Show that KUWTK almost didn't air. "I think we shot a pilot or something for Ryan [Seacrest] and it didn't go anywhere," Khloé admitted to the talk show host. "And then a show on E! fell through, so they needed something to fill this dead air time. And they were like, 'You're getting on the show, start filming, you're getting on the air, like, in two weeks.'" The family was more than happy to get a second chance with the show and were eager to begin filming again. Khloé revealed the whole family was "so excited." However, Khloé and her older sisters, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, were told not to get too excited about the network picking up their show. Khloé was told KUWTK was just filler and was likely to not get picked up for a season two.

Although, Khloé really didn't mind, as the uncertainty of another season allowed her and her family to be themselves. "I actually really appreciate that because we were just thinking, 'Oh, we're not gonna have a season two, let's just film, it's fun, let's just be ourselves. This isn't gonna go anywhere,'" the mother of one added. Since Khloé thought they had no chance of getting another season, the family did not feel any pressure to put any real thought into the show. "We didn't even have time to think about it; to really, like, have any pre-conceived, fake anything. It was just who we are on the fly and I think that's what made the show so good," Khloé admitted. The quick time frame allowed the family to be relatable and realistic to their viewers, which ultimately made the show so successful in the beginning.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan made the announcement in September 2020 that KUWTK will be coming to an end sometime in 2021. Since then, the family has signed a deal with streaming service Hulu where they will be making content in the future. There's no word yet on whether or not the new content will also be a reality show.
