Tristan Thompson's ex-girlfriend and The Kardashians star Khloé Kardashian has paid tribute to the NBA star's late mom, Andrea Thompson, who died over two weeks ago. Tristan and Khloé had one of the most discussed relationships. The former lovebirds seemed perfect for each other but never worked out due to the basketballer's knack for cheating on Khloé. Tristan and Khloé share two children, a daughter, True, 4, and a son they welcomed via surrogate in August 2022. Despite not working out as a couple, Khloé and Tristan continue to co-parent their kids effectively and support each other in the best way possible.
An example of the former couple's support for each other came after Tristan lost his mom, Andrea, earlier this year. The Kardashians' Khloé Kardashian was there for Tristan and attended the funeral with her mom, Kris Jenner, and sister, Kim Kardashian. Two weeks after Andrea's funeral, Khloé took to her Instagram page on January 23 to pen a heartfelt tribute to the Toronto native, who died from a fatal heart attack.
Khloé wrote, "I have been avoiding this…. Avoiding accepting this is real. I have so much to say but nothing at all…. I have so many emotions and still I feel numb." Khloé noted that life could be brutally unfair at times, adding that this period has been one of the toughest in so many of their lives. However, she said she felt blessed and lucky to have had someone who made saying goodbye incredibly difficult.
Khloé Promises To Look After Andrea's Youngest Son Amari
The socialite noted that saying goodbye to Andrea was so difficult that she was choosing not say it for good. Khloé added, "Goodbyes for good are something I don’t believe in. I KNOW I will see you again. I know I will hear your sweet voice and infectious laugh again. I know I’ll get to feel that embrace of yours. " The mother of two further said she would see Andrea again with many who died before, who she desperately misses, loves, and cherishes. Khloé noted that until she sees Andrea again in heaven, she would continue to miss her more daily. After further eulogies, Khloé promised to look after Andrea's youngest son, Amari, who suffers from epilepsy. She also promised that the deceased's sons would be okay. Khloé ended her caption with a biblical quote and expressed love for the late Andrea. The post was accompanied with several snaps and videos Khloé took with Andrea.
It must have been very difficult for Khloé to write her emotional tribute to Andrea. The heartfelt tribute showed how much Khloé loved Tristan's late mom and how difficult it must have been for her to say goodbye. It also showed how good Andrea was to Khloé and her kids. She treated Khloé like her own daughter and always enjoyed being around her and her kids. Most of the pictures Andrea took showed her smiling. Hence, she would be greatly missed by those dear to her. Hopefully, Khloé and the Thompson family will find the strength to move on from this tragedy.
One must also commend Khloé for promising to look after Andrea's boys, especially her youngest son, Amari, whose health condition means he needs special care. The Kardashians star Khloé noted that Andrea never wanted to leave this world now because of her boys, who were her entire world. Although Andrea is gone, she will forever live in the hearts and minds of her loved ones. One hopes Khloé will find all the strength she needs to keep to her promise of looking after Amari and Andrea's boys. She will surely have help from Andrea, who will now be acting as their guardian angel from heaven. May her soul rest in peace.
