Khloé Kardashian is already showing signs of warming up to Tristan Thompson amid their recent breakup. Sources say the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star "still loves" the NBA player, but knows they need time apart. Their breakup comes on the heels of Tristan's latest cheating scandal and rumors of him mingling with mystery women at a recent party.
It's been one week since sources confirmed Khloé and Tristan's second public breakup. News of the split came amid reports of Tristan attending a party thrown by rapper Drake where he is rumored to have entered into a private room with three women. He came out 30 minutes later looking "disheveled." While Tristan denied the reports, their breakup was quickly announced with claims they had been separated for weeks. Since the breakup became public, Tristan has seemingly attempted to get Khloé's attention by leaving a heart emoji under one of her photos with their daughter True Thompson. He even shared a photo showing support for Kendall Jenner's 818 Tequila brand.
Now, it looks like Tristan's damage control has been working, as insiders say Khloé "still loves" the Boston Celtics player. “Khloe still loves Tristan and would take him back in a heartbeat, but that’s not happening any time soon,” a source told Us Weekly. “They spent pretty much 24/7 together and now that she broke up with him, they’re not around each other as much anymore." As the two deal with their latest split, the Good American founder is focused on their co-parenting journey outside of being a couple. "She’s trying to just adjust and transition into being friendly co-parents and separate her emotions from him," the insider added.
It turns out, things were going well for the pair. But once reports came out from model Sydney Chase claiming they hooked up after Khloé and Tristan reconciled, the reality star's trust was rebroken. “They were doing well up until these girls came out saying they hooked up with Tristan,” the source added. She might've been working to ignore the Sydney rumors, but once the Drake party rumors hit, Khloé was fed up. “She struggles because Tristan is the father of True, and she wants to be on good terms with him but is having trouble because she sees him as a cheater and thinks it’ll continue to happen if she takes him back," the insider explained.
During their brief reconciliation, Khloé had to deal with an onslaught of criticism from fans who were disappointed with her taking the pro athlete back. They were previously separated for over a year after Tristan was caught kissing Kylie Jenner's former BFF Jordyn Woods at a party. During the KUWKT reunion, Khloé talked about forgiving Jordyn the same way she forgave Tristan. Now, only time will tell if she forgives Tristan again.
