Tristan Thompson might be on the outs with Khloé Kardashian romantically, but The Kardashians star still believes he will be there for their new baby. Khloè and Tristan are welcoming their second child together after a successful surrogacy pregnancy. Khloé was already in the surrogacy process when she learned of Tristan's paternity scandal. Now the former couple is set to bring a new child into the world and they're not even together.
Fans have been speculating whether Khloé was really in the dark about Tristan fathering a child with Maralee Nichols when she decided to go through with the surrogacy. It was only one month after when word got out that Maralee was suing Tristan over the paternity of her then-unborn son. In January, Tristan kicked off the year owning up to his paternity scandal. He apologized to everyone he hurt publicly and privately and issued a personal apology to Khloé for all the "heartache and humiliation" he's caused her over the years. The pair were planning to welcome a second child when Tristan cheated and impregnated Maralee.
Amid news of the new baby, Khloé has confirmed that she and Tristan are not back together. Tristan also seemingly confirmed it after he was spotted walking hand-in-hand with a mystery woman in Mykonos, Greece. But despite their ongoing breakup, Khloé is confident that Tristan will be there for their new baby as he has been with their daughter True Thompson. “One positive she’s clung onto all along is that Tristan is a wonderful dad to True,” a source told Us Weekly. “Khloé has zero doubt he’ll step up and do the right thing with their new baby too.” The Good American co-founder has maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship with Tristan since their split.
The Indiana Pacers player attended a Father's Day lunch the Kar-Jenners had put together for the dads. Tristan and Kanye West both attended the lunch despite their splits from Khloé and Kim Kardashian. But as confident as Khloé is about Tristan being there for her new baby, he has another baby boy he still hasn't met. Maralee gave birth to Tristan's third child, a son named Theo, in December. Since the baby's birth, Tristan reportedly hasn't met his son or provided any financial support.
