Khloé Kardashian from The Kardashians claims clip-on bangs are why she looked unrecognizable in a recent photo shoot. The reality TV personality began the new year by sharing photos from her Sorbet magazine cover. This lead to countless comments about Khloé looking more like Taylor Swift than herself. Many assumed this meant the photos were overly edited. However, the reality star insists that a temporary hairstyle change had a drastic effect.
The 38-year-old's latest social media activity indicated that she saw the online chatter. On January 3, Khloé posted additional photos from the cover shoot. The mom of two captioned the photos by writing, "Fun fact: I wore clip on bangs for this shoot. It was fun to give a different look and not be committed." Khloé, who finally showed her son's face, continued, "I am surprised with how much I liked the bangs even though they changed the shape of my face."
Keeping the focus on hair, she then asked followers, "Would you ever get bangs?" The temporary new look got many positive responses from her famous friends and family, including mom Kris Jenner. However, many others were skeptical of this explanation. "I don't think it was the bangs that changed your face," one person quipped. Another asked,"literally who is that?" There were also comments accusing her of lying. Additional comparisons were made to a certain pop star, perhaps due to Taylor Swift's complicated history with the Kardashian family.
Khloé Kardashian Claps Back At Snarky Comments
At a certain point, the Revenge Body host began responding to the critics. Another sarcastic comment about the bangs caused Khloé to fire back, "I openly talk about my nose job." She also attributed appearance changes to losing weight. "So recently the only change is the bangs," she said, adding, "didn't know I had to do a running list." Khloé accused the commenter of "attacking" her "unprovoked," and dismissed it as "sad."
The Good American co-founder has previously insisted her nose is the only time she went under the knife. However, many have questioned this. It doesn't help her credibility that the Kardashian-Jenners haven't been entirely honest about cosmetic procedures in the past. In addition to speculation over her cosmetic procedures, Khloé often goes viral for photoshop controversies. The whole family has as well, including with their annual Christmas cards.
But Khloé has repeatedly lamented that she always gets far more comments about her looks than her sisters. When the family first rose to fame, she faced speculation about her appearance for different reasons. She had to deal with comments about looking "different" and "bigger" than Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian. There were many jokes and rumors that Robert Kardashian wasn't her biological father. Over a decade later, the impact those jabs had on her self-esteem is still apparent.
These days, Khloé's obsession with being skinny has been cited as one of many reasons fans were unhappy with the Hulu show's second season. Khloé and Kim's drastic appearance changes and focus on weight loss was labeled "dangerous" and "triggering."
