Here's why Key And Peele's "Consequences" sketch is one of their most underrated. Key & Peele was a Comedy Central sketch show from creators Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. While a lot of their skits could miss the mark, they still managed to produce a lot of classic sketches throughout the show's five-season run. They created memorable characters like the painfully nerdy Wendell, angry teacher Mr. Garvey and the hyperactive Valets who admire the works of Liam Neesons and Bruce Willy.

Popular Key And Peele skits include "The Continental," "East/West College Bowl," and "Obama Meet and Greet." The duo also starred in 2016 comedy Keanu, about a pair of friends trying to save the title character - an adorable kitten named after Keanu Reeves (The Matrix). While the movie was fun it also felt like a sketch stretched out to 100 minutes. While the Key & Peele show ended in 2015 the pair most recently reunited to voice Ducky and Bucky in Toy Story 4, which also featured the voice of Keanu Reeves.

Every Key And Peele fan came away with personal favorite skits - "Weird Playlist" and "When the Party Don’t Stop (But You Wish It Would)" are still classics - but one that tends to fly under the radar is "Consequences." This season 4 gem involves a school assembly where the principal (Key) has invited a former gang member named Donny Herrera (Peele) to take about his life choices. Donny starts talking emotionally about how his actions have affected his life, but the consequences he warns of never quite seem to track logically,

For instance, he talks about stealing from his parents and sister, which somehow led to a piano falling on his head. Likewise, getting involved in crime or gangs led to him getting trampled by a herd of buffalo or sucked into a wormhole, where he lived out the plot of Back To The Future. What makes Key And Peele's "Consequences" such a joy is Jordan Peele's commited performance, with Donny's odd mannerisms or leaps in logic never failing to bring a smile.

Key's turn as the straight-laced principal in "Consequences" who gradually realizes the assembly has gone off the rails is also great. The skit features a nice twist ending too, revealing maybe Donny's idea of consequences isn't so far off the mark. Since Key And Peele ended, Key has appeared in movies like The Predator and shows like Friends From College. Jordan Peele made the surprise leap to horror movie auteur, directing the acclaimed Get Out and Us for Blumbouse.
