Kevin Spacey is back in character as Frank Underwood from House of Cards in an unsurprising Holiday disaster. It isn't the first time Spacey has resurrected the character of Frank Underwood for his personal use. Just last year, Spacey posted a comeback video titled "Let Me Be Frank."

The actor had been subject to sexual misconduct allegations before, but in 2017 as the #MeToo and Time's Up movements were getting going, more accusations were officially made on the record. Actor Anthony Rapp (Star Trek: Discovery) formally accused Spacey of molesting him while he was only 14 years old (Spacey was 26 at the time). Rapp's accusations opened the floodgates for others to speak out against the now disgraced actor. Several crew members of House of Cards accused Spacey of crimes ranging from sexual harassment to assault. He was later fired from House of Cards. Although Spacey was removed from House of Cards, that didn't stop him from staying in character as the ultra-malevolent Frank Underwood.

The new video of Spacey in character as Frank Underwood comes by way of the man himself via his official YouTube channel. In the Holiday video titled "KTWK" (Kill Them With Kindness) Spacey sits in front of a fireplace, fire-poker in hand, recounting the "pretty good year" he's had. It's apparent that Spacey is playing Frank Underwood by his thick southern drawl that the character is famous for. See the video below.

As the video goes on, the line between satire and lunacy shrivels like the heart of the Grinch before being saved by Cindy Lou Who. The intonation of Spacey's voice grows more and more sinister, while the words he's saying trend more and more positive. Ultimately, "KTWK" is some sort of lucid fever dream of juxtaposition where almost nothing makes sense.

There are plenty of other zingers in the video such as Spacey telling the audience that he is in fact "dead serious" about what he's saying. Whether he's being ironic or intentionally misleading the audience is subject to interpretation is unclear. As for facts, we know there are plenty more accusers, including a young man in Nantucket, Massachusetts, who sought to have Spacey convicted on indecent assault and battery. In response to that accusation, Spacey pleaded not guilty; the charges were eventually dropped. But if one thing is certain, it's that Spacey's descent has been one of the most bizarre things to watch in the era of the digital age.
