Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed the one element from the MCU that he would change if he could, and it has nothing to with plot, character arcs, or casting. His one issue with the franchise has to do with the God of Thunder's eyebrows in director Kenneth Branagh's Thor.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an epic franchise so far spanning an entire decade, but the man in charge of it all, Kevin Feige, isn't 100 percent pleased. Avengers: Infinity War is about to hit theaters, capping off ten years and 18 movies, while also shifting gears towards the future of the franchise, and Feige can't help but wince at the color of Chris Hemworth's eyebrows in the very first Thor. No artist is ever completely satisfied with their work, and Feige is no different, bashing the decision to dye Hemsworth's eyebrows blonde so as to match his character's hair color.

When Uproxx spoke with Feige in preparation for Infinity War, they specifically asked what parts of the MCU he would change if given the opportunity - and his answer required zero delay. Though he is exceptionally confident with the way the overall franchise turned out, stating that it's "actually fun to revisit and see the movies grow and change," he added:

"Definitively, the one thing I would definitely do differently if I had to do it over again, is we would not have dyed Chris Hemsworth’s eyebrows blond in the first Thor. Because we were like, Thor is blond! He has to be blond! And Hemsworth was great and awesome and pulled it off, but there are a couple of shots I watch and I’m like, oh my God, that poor guy, we made him freaking dye his eyebrows!"

Thor and Thor Ragnarok

After the first Thor, Feige apparently learned from his mistakes, opting to keep Hemsworth's eyebrows their original color, resulting in a more natural look. That said, Feige added that at this point in time it doesn't necessarily matter how the character is presented because Chris Hemsworth is Thor. He explained that as ridiculous as the eyebrows might have looked in the original film, "he doesn’t need long hair, or a cape, or a hammer, or two eyeballs to be Thor.” The fans have accepted him as he is. Still, though, he added that it's a look audiences can "never unsee."

As it so happens, Hemsworth isn't the only actor in the MCU tasked with trying to pull off blonde eyebrows. Scarlet Johansson's Black Widow undergoes a physical transformation in Infinity War, not only dyeing her hair from red to blonde, but doing the same to her eyebrows as well. In her character's defense, though, the change is most likely motivated by a need to go incognito, given that she is on the run from the law following the events of Captain America: Civil WarBlack Widow is one of the world's greatest spies, so it's only right that she'd implement all of her covert tactics in order to evade detection and subsequent incarceration. Unfortunately, Thor doesn't have as much of a concrete defense for his beach-blonde brow.
