Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum Kendall Jenner finally addresses the inappropriate dress she wore to her friend's wedding last year. Since Kendall shot to fame as a model a few years after KUWTK started to air on E!, the California native has been known to wear items that show off her figure. Whether it's a completely see-through black dress to the Met Gala or going braless to the Cannes film festival, Kendall has never been afraid to show some skin.
The 26-year-old came under fire in November 2021 after she wore a racy dress to her friend Lauren Perez's wedding, though she was clearly comfortable in the look. Many people were upset with the model as she was seemingly trying to outdo the bride. Despite the backlash, Kendall didn't discuss the much-talked-about dress after that night. However, that recently changed, with Kendall finally breaking her silence on the matter.
On New Year's Eve, the bride, Lauren, took to her Instagram account to share a series of photos from her wedding, including a couple with Kendall in the infamous racy dress. Though comments appear to have since been disabled on the post, E! reports that when a few followers spoke about how inappropriate it was for the model to wear the revealing dress, Lauren took to Kendall's defense. One follower commented, "Inappropriate outfit at a wedding @kendalljenner, I'm embarrassed for you. #cringe," while another responded to the comment, writing, "If the bride herself doesn't gaf, why do you care, relax?" The bride agreed with the fellow commenter, saying she had no issue with Kendall's dress of choice. "tell ‘em! SHE LOOKED STUNNING AND I LOVED IT!" Lauren wrote. Kendall then chimed in on the conversation, writing, "Obvi, asked for your approval in advance, too. We love a beach wedding."
For the wedding, Kendall wore a risqué, all-black Mônot dress, which featured diamond-shaped cut-outs across her chest revealing quite a bit of skin. The bride clearly has no problem with the dress and thought Kendall looked absolutely amazing for the duration of her wedding. Kendall wasn't the only big-name celebrity to attend Lauren's big day. Kendall's fellow model friends Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, singer Jesse Jo Stark, and influencer Hannah Bronfman were also in attendance.
Hopefully, Lauren and Kendall's comments put the issue to bed. It makes a difference that the bride was well aware of Kendall's attire before the model came to her wedding. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum was kind enough to give Lauren a heads up before she finalized what she was wearing. If the bride was okay with the dress, everyone else should be, too.
