Kelly Osbourne says her family’s reality show The Osbournes may come back. The original series debuted in 2002 and ran for four seasons on MTV. In its first season, it was the most-viewed series on MTV. After 15 years, Ozzy fans are excited about the opportunity of seeing the famous family again.

The Osbournes became an instant hit when cameras followed around the unconventional family. Ozzy Osbourne had long been revered as an elder statesman in the rock world. However, not a lot of people knew much about his personal life. The reality series showed that the famous family was pretty similar to its viewers. Teenagers Kelly and Jack bickered like other teens and Sharon and Ozzy were pretty normal parents who refused to put up with their kids' shenanigans. Not only that, but the family's pets were such a big hit, shows like Saturday Night Live parodied the relationship Sharon had with them. The show ran from 2002-2005, and nearly 15 years later, the show may be on its way back onto our TV screens.

As an adult, Kelly dabbled in singing-songwriting and is now a host on The Talk. She told People, "When I signed the contract for MTV, I was 15 years old and to see what it turned into, we didn’t know how people would perceive us or anything. And then suddenly wake up one day and literally be one of the most famous 16-year-olds in the world just being yourself." She continued, "I think that is the most raw and vulnerable you will see any family on TV. And then it all kind of was like an explosion of too much reality for us."

So far, the one thing that has kept them from signing on to the reboot is all of the other people to consider. Jack is now a father of three young kids, and Kelly has had several serious relationships over the years (including former fiance Jarrod Gorbel of The Honorary Title) to consider. Not only that, but Ozzy and Sharon have also had marital discord that has played out in the tabloids, which could reignite on camera. The couple split in 2016 following allegations that he became intimately involved with a hairstylist. There's also the question of whether older sister Aimee - who chose not to appear in the original series - will show up for the newer iteration. Back in 2002, the missing Osbourne daughter opted out of the show to maintain her privacy. Instead, she entered the editorial field, opting to take a position at Nylon magazine.

Regardless of what they decide, The Osbournes would be a welcome return to television sets everywhere. Based on his legendary rock-star status, there will always be an audience for Ozzy's patriarchal misadventures. True, the Osbournes have kept themselves in the public eye since the show's cancellation in 2005. But it would be great to catch up with them as a whole, if possible. If not, there are always reruns of Ozzy and Jack's World Detour, Kelly's recent stint as Ladybug on The Masked Singer, and Sharon's daytime TV gig on The Talk to tide over fans.
