Amid rumors that Scott and Kourtney are reconciling, and Scott and Sofia’s previous breakup in May, could this be the end of the road for them?
After Scott’s release from rehab in May, rumors were swirling about his love life. No one quite knew what was going on between him and Sofia while he was in rehab, and after he left, he was spending lots of time with his family and his ex Kourtney Kardashian. Shortly after he left rehab, Scott spent his birthday weekend with Kourtney and their three children, Mason, Penelope and Reign. Fans speculated that his flirty comments and pictures with Kourtney on Instagram were proof that he and Kourtney were back together. The announcement that Sofia and Scott had officially broken up a few days later pushed these rumors even further. Kourtney was also spotted wearing one of Scott’s shirts. However, the two said that they were not romantically involved at the time. Sofia and Scott were then seen together on the Fourth of July, going to lunch, attending a party and walking on the beach. They confirmed that they were back together after two months apart.
However, a source told US Weekly that the relationship is cooling off. “Scott and Sofia have simmered down a little and Scott has been making a big effort to refocus on himself and his family,” the source said. Scott has indeed been very focused on his children on social media, frequently posting family photos. His rehab stint was connected to the loss of both his parents last year, so it makes sense that he wants to spend more time with his family. US Weekly’s source continued, “[Scott and Sofia’s] relationship has taken a bit of backseat and it’s not either of their main priorities right now.” If Scott and Sofia’s relationship is in the backseat, could Scott’s relationship with Kourtney be taking the front seat? He is spending lots of time with her as well as their kids, and several of the Kardashians sent him loving messages on his birthday through social media.
Scott and Sofia, despite their age difference, have been together for about three years. The couple met and began dating in 2017, which was controversial because Sofia was only 18 at the time and Scott is 15 years older than her. Scott made waves shortly before dating Sofia by taking actress Bella Thorne with him to Cannes, who was 19 at the time of the trip. Scott checked himself into rehab in April, after Sofia expressed concern about his health. This wasn’t the first time Scott has been to rehab and struggled with drugs and alcohol. In recent weeks, Scott has been spending time with his kids, and Sofia has been hanging out with friends according to social media. The two seem to be doing well on their own.
