The coronavirus quarantine is putting relationships to the test, including Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West and her husband Kanye West. It's been reported the two have separated themselves in their million-dollar mansion to remain "civil."
Kim has been open about how she's dealing with self-isolation when it comes to the 24/7 time she's been spending with her four children. More notably, the eldest daughter North West has made her presence and voice clear when her reality star mom has been trying to get some work done or do a bit of self care. While having the kids home all the time is testing parents patience, maintaining a happy marriage is another feat of its own and the West family is not exempt.
The ample amount of time together has put some distress on Kim and Kanye's marriage. According to a report by The Sun, a source close to the couple shared, "Kim and Kanye are arguing and at each other's throats during this pandemic." Like many in self-isolation, the mom of four is "getting stir crazy" and has many frustrations. "She is frustrated with Kanye and thinks he's not pulling his weight in family responsibilities. They've been staying at opposite ends of the house to keep things civil." Meanwhile, on Instagram, Kim has been posting loving photos of her family.
Social media may show a different story, but there's been more than one report about trouble in the West household. A source revealed exclusively to US Weekly, "Kanye is really getting on Kim's nerves." This is largely in part due to Kanye being "focused on creating" and "leaving all the parenting duties" to his wife.
Being at home is a complete change for all families and has caused stress in many homes. Celebrity couples like Kim and Kanye may have more money and space, but they are not exempt from the added stress that comes with being on lockdown. Without the help they typically receive, or their frequent work travel they are now challenged with managing their family in a different light. Additionally, the couple may be facing problems that already existed and are now forced to deal with them. Keeping up with the Kardashians fans should be in for lots of updates when the show returns.
