The Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars run some extremely popular beauty brands at the moment, but there was a time when they failed at building some beauty business ventures. Ever since the inception of the show, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have dipped their toes in multiple businesses. Sometimes these ventures have been solo, while the other times, it has been a collaborative effort.

No amount of money was enough to make each one of those ideas click. The Kardashian-Jenners have launched many failed beauty businesses that have missed the mark because of one thing or another. Although the sisters have never let the failures be the cornerstone for their current success. In fact, they have continually learned and evolved to make some of their existing brands an inspirational victory.

But what kind of failed ventures led them to make such successful brands? Let's take a look at some of the Kardashian beauty brands that couldn't leave a mark on many Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans.

Khroma Beauty

Khloe Kim and Kourtney Kardashian

The story of Khroma started back in the day when fans were most interested in the three sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe. They were the sisters behind the idea of this brand called Khroma Beauty. Their goal was to create 2012's best makeup line coming directly from the Kardashian sisters. It seems like in pursuit of starting something new, the sisters just didn't pay much attention to other aspects like the band name. Khroma Beauty was pounded with multiple lawsuits for copyright infringement. One of them was from a Los Angeles-based company called Chroma Beauty, and another one was from Florida's Kroma Beauty. The company was trying its best to attain millions in damages. However, in 2013, the decision was ruled against the Kardashians, forcing them to change the brand name eventually.

Kardashian Beauty

The second venture on the list is Kardashian Beauty. This brand was expected to do what Khroma Beauty failed to do, which was to captivate Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans. But the brand didn't take off. A source close to the Kardashians revealed, "It was like an accessible drugstore brand. Serious beauty buffs weren't interested in the line." The source added (via Cheat Sheet), "Even though some of the products had cult-like followings, Kardashian Beauty didn't have the industry respect that Kylie Cosmetics and KKW have now."

Kardashian Kolors

This brand was meant to define what colors are when it comes to nail paints. Yet it subsequently failed due to being too generic and pretty standard. The only thing that stood apart about this brand was the names of each bottle. Some of these were "KHLOE HAD A LITTLE LAM-LAM," symbolizing her romance with Lamar Odom. Then there was "RAINBOW IN THE S-KYLIE" and "SEALED WITH A KRIS." The word-play was on point, but it seems like all the effort went into thinking names for each color and not their quality. Currently, many Keeping Up With The Kardashians viewers may have already forgotten that this was even a thing back in 2011.

GLAM

Kim came out with a brand new idea of building fragrance (via Capital FM), after all, who can deny smelling like a Kardashian? It seems that would be everyone, as the brand failed soon. GLAM was described as "a captivating fragrance that inspires confidence, strength, and of course glamour." However, it couldn't captivate many and inspired most to avoid purchasing it. It seems like the awkward poser Kim Kardashian went into this line despite not having much knowledge. It was probably the only reason for its ultimate downfall. Regardless, Kim did figure out the perfect way to sell perfumes, making them a part of her KKW Beauty line. Although the Keeping Up With The Kardashians celebs have experienced several failed businesses, they are wonders of some of the most successful beauty brands.
