Kim Kardashian has one big supporter cheering her on as she moves closer towards obtaining her law degree. Social justice advocate Van Jones recently dished about the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's chances of becoming a lawyer. According to him, Kim is well on her way to becoming an 'unbelievable attorney.'

Amid her divorce from Kanye West, the SKIMS founder has been hard at work studying to pass California's bar exam. She began to express interest in the legal field after making a career transition into prison reform advocacy. Fans have praised the reality star for using her platform to raise awareness around the issues within the criminal justice system. Kim struck up a friendship with the political commentator and lawyer Van Jones. The two worked alongside each other to help get a number of convicted felons free from prison.

Now, as Kim serves out her apprenticeship at Jones' criminal justice reform non-profit Dream Corps JUSTICE, the CNN host gave an update on her journey to becoming a lawyer. "She's doing amazing. I think she has used her platform to help people behind bars," he said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show"Her dad was a lawyer and she always wanted to be a lawyer," he explained. "Once she got a taste of what she could do using her platform, using her brain, she hasn't let up, so I think she's going to be an unbelievable attorney." Since beginning her work in prison reform, the KKW Beauty founder has become one of the most vocal celebrities on the ongoing issue.

Jones praised Kim for her passionate social justice work on social media and behind-the-scenes. "She's already I think one of the best advocates that we have in criminal justice," he added. It's been two years since Kim took to Instagram and announced she was in pursuit of a law degree in a process that would take four years. "Last year I registered with the California State Bar to study law," she captioned a photo of her studying. "For the next 4 years, a minimum of 18 hours a week is required, I will take written and multiple-choice tests monthly." 

Since filing for divorce from Kanye in February, Kim has shared photos of her studying while sunbathing in a bikini. In April, her momager Kris Jenner shared how focused Kim is on her studies despite dealing with her third divorce. Fans have noticed how mum Kim has been about the split on the show's final season. But it looks like the superstar is mothering her four children as she inches closer to adding esquire to her Instagram bio.
