The stars are said to be 'barely speaking' amid 'tension' over Kourtney's newfound romance. Meanwhile, Scott is still enjoying time in Miami with his 19-year-old girlfriend Amelia Hamlin.
Fans have questioned if Scott's temporary relocation to Miami was to help him avoid seeing the mother of his three kids happily dating someone else. During the season finale, the Talentless founder revealed his "big fear" of seeing Kourtney dating someone else. The two were both single at the time of the revelation with Scott ending his three-year relationship with Sofia Richie. But as the months went on, Scott was seen hitting the dating scene hard before settling down with Amelia. By January, Kourtney and Travis confirmed their longtime friendship developed into a romance. Since then, the two have only fallen more in love and it appears to be to the dismay of Scott.
Now insiders are dishing about all the tension between the two co-parents over Kourtney's PDA with the Blink-182 drummer. "Scott and Kourtney have a tense relationship right now primarily because he's been focusing on his new life in Miami and because of Kourtney getting serious with Travis," a source told E! News. "They are barely speaking. It's hard for him to see Kourtney in love with someone else." While they noted the two "aren't fighting by any means," their relationship "has changed and they haven't spent much time together as a family recently." Viewers can remember Scott revealing that all the time he was spending with Kourtney last year is what led to his fallout with Sofia.
However, it's not clear exactly what happened when he started dating Amelia and Kourtney sparked up a flame with Travis. "Scott will always be in Kourtney's life, it's just a different dynamic right now," the insider added. While fans blasted the Flip it Like Disick star for not publicly serenading Kourtney on Mother's Day the way Travis did, sources say he honored her privately. "Scott wished Kourtney a happy Mother's Day privately but is really distancing himself," the insider explained. "He doesn't want to interfere with her relationship. They do connect about the kids often but that's about the extent of it currently."
Onlookers have been criticizing Scott for the apparent hypocrisy in his possible bitterness over Kourtney moving on. The two ended their relationship back in 2015 after countless cheating allegations. Since their split, they have become great friends and co-parents for their children while Scott moved in and out of relationships. This is Kourtney's first time dating since her 2018 breakup with Younes Bendjima.
