Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans are questioning Kim Kardashian's latest Instagram story. On Monday, Kim shared a photo of a painting that she claimed her daughter North West painted herself. The painting was quite detailed and looked professionally done. While fans were first shocked at North's impressive artistic talents, they are now questioning if the painting was actually a paint by number activity.
With Kanye West as her dad, there is no doubt that North West is a talented little girl. Creativity runs in her blood as Kanye started taking art classes at just 4 years old. He later went on to win awards for his art. Although North is still young, she has proved herself to be a girl of many talents. She has designed her own clothes, walked in runways, sang in front of large crowds of people, and is now an artist. North and her friend Ryan have been taking private art classes together. Both of their proud moms have been bragging about their artwork online. Just recently, North showed off her creativity by leaving her mom a love note on the roll of toilet paper in their home bathroom.
Maybe North isn't as good at painting as Kim Kardashian made her seem. As fans began to question whether or not North did in fact paint the landscape photo, they speculated about the truth. Twitter user @lexiijawn explained that she "refuses" to believe that North actually painted the photo. If North truly was this talented at such a young age, the family would have been "exploiting" her talent prior to a "random" post on Instagram. As others began to chime in on the conversation, many started to think that North did paint it but it was a "paint by number" activity.
As the conversation went on and on, one Twitter user actually came to North's defense. They explained that they too had a private art instructor as a child who assisted them in creating paintings similar to North's. The user went on to say that the instructor typically walks the children through every step of the painting. Because of this step by step instruction, the outcome of the child's paintings usually leaves their families speechless, as did North's. An actual artist added to this, claiming that this is in fact the average skill range of a child of North's age who has the right instruction and materials.
No one truly knows the truth as to whether or not North West painted it by freehand, used a paint by number, or had someone else paint it for her except for North and her mom Kim Kardashian. As fans continue to speculate in disbelief, they are asking the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star to prove it was North with a video of her painting. There is no doubt that North's dad Kanye West would be proud of this painting even though he is allegedly no longer living with the family.
