Khloe Kardashian of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is still under fire amid her response to a photo leak scandal last week, and now, filmmaker Nick Bolton is addressing the matter. Khloe briefly jumped on Instagram live before releasing a four-page statement admitting to having "struggled with body image' her "whole life." Since attempting her form of damage control, Khloe has been under fire over how seriously she appears to take her public image. During a recent interview, Bolton addressed how social media leads people to "create these fake lifestyles."

Kris Jenner's PR tactics have been called "outdated" after Khloe took to Instagram to prove that her body wasn't "Photoshopped." The Good American founder became a trending topic over her efforts to get an unedited photo of her removed from the internet. After Khloe and her team were caught working overtime to have the "unauthorized" photo erased, fans called out the Revenge Body host for the apparent hypocrisy toward her body positivity branding. While the Kardashian-Jenners have long been accused of only posting highly curated content of themselves, this was the first time a family member was caught going to such extreme lengths to control their public persona.

Filmmaker and director Nick Bilton recently appeared on The Tamron Hall Show and used the Kardashians as an example of the celebrities who "fake" their lifestyles to portray a certain image on social media. "Well look at the Kardashians, I mean that is the epitome of fake right," he said. "They fake their tax returns, so that they could appear on the cover of Forbes as billionaires, even though they're not. They fake photoshoots, they fake everything. I mean this is just the society we live in today as a result of social media and those numbers.”

The Fake Famous creator went on to address Khloe's leaked photo scandal and explained why the reality star took such drastic measures over the unedited photo. "That photo was a before and after photo," he explained. "She posted the after of course on her social media, and one of her assistants posted the before, and the before is not as flattering." Bilton credited the scandal for being the "perfect example of the fakeness that goes into a lot of these photoshoots.”

This is the second time Khloe has been called out by a public figure over the leaked photo. Actress Jameela Jamil posted screenshots of Khloe's statement and urged her to "admit to surgeries, thinning photographs and videos." The body-positive activist posed the suggestion to Khloe in hopes of her portraying a more honest image of herself on social media so that she can "stop being part of the culture that makes girls like her hate herself." It looks like the backlash against Khloe and her superstar family is far from over. They might want to consider a new PR tactic.
