Kanye West was reportedly unbothered by Kim Kardashian's divorce filing. Sources for the rap/fashion mogul say that he "basically rolled his eyes" after he learned of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's move to dissolve their marriage. It's said that Kim hoped the divorce papers would shake Kanye up. But, instead, it did the exact opposite.
It was last month when Kim moved forward with officially filing for divorce from Kanye after almost seven years of marriage. The news didn't come as too much of a surprise due to it being reported in the press in the months leading up to the split. It was late last year when insiders revealed the separate lives Kim and Kanye had been living after his election loss. The couple had been at odds since the summer when Kanye launched his campaign. Since the filing, the Yeezy founder has reportedly cut off all communication with the SKIMS founder and only visits his children when she's not home.
However, it's said that Kim hoped the divorce would "shock" her husband and motivate him to change his behavior. But, it turns out the exact opposite happened, with the rapper having "basically rolled his eyes" at the divorce papers, a source told The Sun. "Kim loves Kanye and her plan to turn things around by filing for divorce has backfired," the insider added. "She had visions of the news breaking and Kanye would in turn have a reality check, yet instead he basically rolled his eyes." They noted how "difficult" it was for the KKW Beauty founder to file for divorce from the "Stronger" rapper.
Insiders say Kanye is not willing to budge on the attitude Kim wants him to change. "Kanye wants to live his life on his terms and at this point is ok with whatever happens now," the source said. "He will not bend to Kim's wishes, he just isn't willing." While the reality star has hoped her husband would apologize and change to save their marriage, the billionaire mogul has been focused on his work and not on his failed marriage.
They also noted how Kris Jenner tried to intervene in hopes of bringing the two together. But, to no avail. Insiders say Kim has been waiting "for a sign, something that would mean 'I'm sorry' or 'I'm willing to change'," the source shared. "Instead, Kim's finally beginning to feel it doesn't matter what she says, or how beautiful she is, or what an incredible mother she is, Kanye isn't willing to change and her plan has definitely failed." Kim is set to open up about her third divorce in the final season of KUWTK.
