Caitlyn Jenner's views on prison reform seem to be clashing with Keeping up with Kardashian star Kim Kardashian's work, which she has been doing for years. The tweet comes just days after the former reality star announced she is running for the governor of California. The Kardashian-Jenners do not plan on campaigning for Caitlyn either, seeing as her political views do not align with theirs.

The 71-year-old has always been engulfed by politics, even before she began appearing on KUWTK in 2007. She has voiced her opinion on politics in the past, leaning toward the Republican party rather than the Democratic party. Her political views have always been an issue with the Kardashian-Jenners, seeing as they appear to support the Democratic party. Kim publicly backed both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden during their presidential races.

Caitlyn Jenner tweeted in response to a story about a man who was released from prison after he allegedly killed a seven-month-old child and was arrested for domestic violence. She wrote, "Gavin’s District Attorneys across California are releasing dangerous criminals back onto our streets. Enough is enough. #RecallGavin." A source close to Kim and the former Olympian told TMZ that the pair had several conversations about prison reform over the years; however, Kim was not only frustrated but disturbed by her former step-father's tweet. The 40-year-old believes Caitlyn's "tough on crime" belief is very similar to Donald Trump's.

Kim thinks this will only hurt communities due to it costing taxpayers more money and also fails to address why people commit these crimes in the first place. According to TMZ's sources, Kim supports Governor Gavin Newsom's approach to helping restore and offer support to people coming out of prison. She also supports him in investing in crime prevention as well. Kim and Caitlyn have not spoken since her tweeting regarding prison reform, and Kim does not plan on supporting her campaign. In addition to Kim, her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, will not be endorsing Caitlyn in her campaign to become the next Governor of California. None of the sisters agree with Caitlyn's politics and are still upset with she treated their mother, Kris Jenner, during their divorce.

Kim has been fighting for prison reform years before Caitlyn ever even thought about running for governor. Her efforts to fight for this cause have been nothing short of admirable, seeing as she has helped dozen of people who were wrongfully accused of crimes get out of prison. Caitlyn is just out for attention again, and her campaign to become the Governor of California could potentially hurt Kim's credibility in her fight for prison reform.
