Rumors have been circulating of a divorce between Keeping up with the Kardashians star, Kim Kardashian, and her rapper husband, Kanye West. Sources now say that the two have given up on marriage counseling as well. In order to get away from it all, the reality star decided to take a road trip.
Kim has been on a roller coaster of emotions for the past year dealing with Kanye's battle with bipolar disorder. While she has managed to put on a brave face and help her husband through this battle, it has begun to take a toll on her. After Kanye's presidential campaign and his controversial Twitter rant that took place summer of 2020, Kim has seemingly finally had enough of his antics.
Kim shared to her Instagram Stories on Sunday what looked to be the San Gorgonio Pass wind farm close to Palm Springs, Calif. “Road Tripping,” the reality star wrote alongside the video. In the background, the 2017 single “Frozen” by Sabrina Claudio was could be heard playing. Not to mention, a few child-like voices can be heard as well, which were probably from Kim's four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The trip was likely much-needed for the mother for four as she and Kanye's marriage has started to go downhill. The marriage was rumored to have fallen apart after Kanye revealed, during his first presidential rally, that the couple had considered aborting North when they found out Kim was pregnant. Not only did he make this revelation, but he also attacked Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner, in a series of controversial tweets on Twitter.
At the time, Kim was allegedly in talks with high-profile divorce attorney Laura Wasser, to explore her options in terms of her marriage. The SKIMS founder even made a trip to Wyoming, presumably to try and salvage their broken marriage. It seemed as though the couple was on better terms by the end of 2020, but fans did point out how Kanye was noticeably absent from her controversial tropical island birthday party in October. Kanye was also missing from their family Christmas celebrations in December. This all led to the rumors of Kim and Kanye's marriage potentially headed toward divorce. The couple has done a good job keeping their kids out of the drama since they are used to their father living in a different state. Living apart seemed to be the best option for their marriage, as the communication allegedly started to become toxic between them. Hopefully, this road trip gave Kim the clarity she needed to either move forward with the divorce or stay and fight for her marriage.
