Despite certain fans saying they would unfollow the Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum Kylie Jenner and her partner Travis Scott after the Astroworld tragedy, her number of followers has not changed in a significant way. Earlier this month, Travis held the Astroworld festival in Houston, Texas, which thousands of music fans attended. Not only did the rapper perform, but Drake also made an appearance. But what was supposed to be a celebration of music ended up being a tragedy.

While Travis was performing, the crowd began rushing to the stage, with people in the audience literally being crushed to death. Hundreds of people were injured, while at least eight died that night, including a nine-year-old boy who suffered serious injuries such as trauma to the brain, liver, and kidneys. Both Kylie and Travis have since addressed the tragedy, lending their condolences to the victims' families.

After the Astroworld tragedy, both Kylie and Travis received quite a bit of backlash for not addressing the situation sooner. As a result, many of their fans unfollowed them on social media. One Twitter fan believes that the beauty mogul and the rapper bought new followers since they lost thousands following Astroworld. However, their numbers - especially Kylie's - have not moved. "I’m convinced that Travis and Kylie Jenner's followers are fake. Thousands of people unfollowed them and the numbers haven’t budged. Suspicious," this particular KUWTK fan on Twitter wrote. The recent comments that Kylie, who was pulled from W Magazine, has received over the past few weeks are indeed quite negative. The reality star has been slammed for not only staying quiet for so long after the accident but for saying that she and the 30-year-old were unaware of the tragic incidents that occurred.

The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott

Fans believe Kylie knew had some knowledge of the situation since many of her since-deleted Instagram Stories featured ambulance vehicles in the background. Many of her fans can no longer support her after not giving the tragedy enough attention and decided to unfollow her but Kylie and Travis have diehard fans that could never turn their back on the stars. These fans might even create extra social media accounts to keep Kylie and Travis' follower numbers high. Before the tragedy, Travis was known for glorifying injuries his fans suffered during his shows. Travis, who is getting support from Kylie, would call his fans "heroes" if they suffered an injury at one of his shows and would even praise them for passing out. Back in 2015, the rapper would often take to social media to post disturbing pictures of his fans who got hurt at his shows. One of the more upsetting photos includes a young man on the ground, seemingly unconscious, after one of his shows.

Despite the backlash Kylie has received, her followers' count remains the same. While some fans believe she buys her followers, others think her diehard fans are still loyal and would never unfollow her. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has a very loyal fanbase that would never turn on Kylie no matter what.
