Kylie Jenner is not only the youngest of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians siblings, but she also seems to be her parents' favorite child. Caitlyn Jenner recently made her preferences known when she publicly called Kylie her favorite child in an interview, stating that she is much closer with Kylie than she is with Kendall Jenner. While it is true that Kendall and Caitlyn share quite a few similarities, Caitlyn described Kylie as "all the stars coming together."
From the start of the Kardashians' fame, it was quite noticeable that Kim Kardashian was always her mom's favorite child. But as Kylie Jenner began to grow older and started to prosper in her own career ventures, Kris notably began to latch towards her youngest daughter as well. As of 2021, Kris works closely alongside Kylie with her Kylie Cosmetics brand and spends much of her free time with Kylie and Stormi as well. Kylie manages to spend her free time quite evenly among both of her parents. In a recent Youtube video, Kylie did Caitlyn's makeup for the first time.
While it is no surprise that Kylie Jenner is seen as the golden child amongst the KUWTK family, the real question is why. Many fans have come up with their own theories on why both Kris and Caitlyn Jenner favorite Kylie so much. Although the Kardashian name has been well-known for quite some time, Kylie Jenner is perceived as putting "the Jenner name back on the map." Aside from her dad's Olympic career, her last name was overshadowed by her famous siblings. When Kylie began her successful career, she changed that, making her last name just as well known as the rest of her family's. Ultimately, Kris benefits the most from favoriting Kylie as she is quite successful and is assumed to be the wealthiest of the siblings.
Aside from being so successful, Kylie Jenner is also the baby of her large family. Typically, in large families, the youngest child tends to be favored over the other children. This proves to hold true with the Kardashian-Jenner bunch. It is seen as "family dynamics" that are quite "universal." Kylie is also seen as having a "passive" personality, allowing her parents to easily convince her to do things their way. A perfect example of Kylie's passive personality would be when Kendall got mad at Kylie in Palm Springs over a dress. Despite Kendall being quite angry, Kylie continued to be carefree, ignoring her sister's attitude.
While Kylie is in fact the youngest in the Keeping Up With The Kardashians family, she seems to spend the most time with each of her parents out of all of her siblings. Between the quality time spent with them, her major success at such a young age, and of course being the baby of the family, it is no shock Kylie could be seen as the golden child.
