Kanye West and Kim Kardashian of Keeping Up With the Kardashians have two buildings on their Los Angeles property: a ranch house and the rap artist’s church, Sunday Service. As recent photographs show, Kanye has now erected massive white walls around the structures at their LA home.
The KUWTK couple owns various properties, but the LA home is where they have raised their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. They also own two ranches in Wyoming and two properties in Hidden Hills. Kim and Kanye never share photographs of the inside of their LA home, except for in 2019 when they allowed Vogue and Architectural Digest to photograph their minimalistic, all-white interior decor. Kim described their home’s aesthetic as “a minimal monastery."
However, the LA property now has a new addition. According to The Sun, large white walls were recently put up around the buildings by Kanye. This isn’t the first time the Grammy award winner has made alterations to the LA property, but this is certainly one of the more bizarre developments. One of the buildings is completely encircled by the white walls with a circular tunnel for entry and exit. The other building is only half surrounded by white walls.
Previously, Kanye planned to build Star Wars-inspired dome structures on the same property that were to serve as affordable housing earlier. During the construction process, he was ordered to take the dome structures down by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works because he was building without a permit. Later on, the Yeezy Supply founder shared pictures of the domes being rebuilt, supposedly on one of the couple’s Wyoming ranches.
There is currently no explanation available as to why the white walls have gone up around Kanye and Kim’s LA property. Since the rap artist has attempted to construct buildings around his LA home before, it is likely he is trying to build something else again. Another possible explanation is Kanye’s mental health. In recent months, the hip hop musician has suffered a very public mental breakdown which has caused problems in his marriage with Kim. Could the white walls be indicative of more odd behavior to come? Over the next few weeks, we may learn more about why the Keeping Up with the Kardashians couple has put up white walls around their LA home.
