Kim Kardashian's 40th birthday celebration lasted far beyond her actual birthday. Last week, Keeping Up With the Kardashians dedicated an episode to Kim's surprise birthday bash her family threw for her. But, the fun didn't stop there. Kim then shared shots from her private island birthday group trip.
The KKW Beauty founder partied hard for her milestone birthday. Her family and friends came together at her surprise birthday party. Her husband, Kanye West, was seen playing music with the DJ. Her sister, Khloé Kardashian, teased her rumored reconciliation with NBA player Tristan Thompson at the party's photo booth. Rob Kardashian even made a special appearance on KUWTK to celebrate Kim's birthday surprise.
Beyond the on-air surprise party, the reality TV superstar further celebrated her birthday in style. She took to Instagram last Tuesday to share a photo slide of pics from her island birthday getaway. "40 and feeling so humbled and blessed," Kim wrote in the lengthy caption. "There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter." She went on to reveal how she wanted to celebrate her birthday with those who matter most. "For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today," she shared with her fans. Included in the photos were Kim's siblings Kourtney, Khloé, Rob, and Kendall, as well her mother Kris Jenner, Cory Gamble, Tristan Thompson, and Scott and Mason Disick. But notably absent from the family photos were her sister Kylie Jenner and husband Kanye West. "Where's Kylie," wrote one follower, while another asked "Ye????" Last week, Kanye was promoting his presidential campaign ahead of election day. It's possible Kanye's political duties may have conflicted with his wife's surprise birthday trip. Though she held the trip during the international pandemic, Kim assured her fans that safety protocols were followed.
"After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine," Kim added in the caption. "I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time." Kanye is known to maintain a low profile when he's out with his wife. Despite him not being included in her shared photos, it's not a sure confirmation that the Yeezy founder wasn't there.
