The Kardashian-Jenner family is currently enjoying a vacation in Lake Tahoe. Because they’re not in lockdown mode in Los Angeles, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians crew has broken travel restrictions once again.

The Kardashian-Jenner family is now vacationing on an estate property in Lake Tahoe. The gathering wasn’t just personal in nature – they apparently filmed a portion of Keeping Up With the Kardashians while they were there. “The Kardashians spent three nights at Edgewood Tahoe filming for the show,” a source said. “They had some of the kids with them and they all played outside and sat by the fire and roasted marshmallows. They also went ice skating on a private rink. They enjoyed a hot chocolate bar and had a big fireworks show over the lake at night.” On social media, the Kardashian-Jenners shared various moments of their luxury Tahoe getaway. Kylie Jenner posted pictures of her winter-inspired fashion on Instagram. Her sister, Kendall Jenner, shared a video of herself and Kourtney Kardashian skating. As fun as the occasion looked on Instagram, it’s undeniable that the Kardashian-Jenner family has broken coronavirus related travel restrictions.

The California Government issued a regional stay-at-home order, which impacts the Los Angeles area, as reported by Elle. “The bottom line is, if we don’t act now, our hospital system will be overwhelmed,” Gavin Newson, a California Government representative, stated. “If we don’t act now, we’ll continue to see our death rate climb, more lives lost.” Even though this announcement was made on Thursday, there have been various other restrictions in place before. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) advised members of the state not to gather with multiple households, as an example. The Kardashian-Jenners got together on Thanksgiving, which means they violated this rule too.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West

Earlier in 2020, the Kardashian-Jenners broke the COVID-19 travel rules many times. The event with the biggest backlash was Kim Kardashian’s private island getaway for her 40th birthday. Following that gathering, Kendall threw a large Halloween party. In the summer, Kylie visited Paris with their family friend, Fai Khadra. The backlash has gotten so bad that Kris Jenner stepped in to comment. “At Kendall’s, everyone got tested before they walked in the door and they had to wait a half an hour until... the results were in. So we are really responsible, and we make sure that everyone in our family and our closest friends are tested religiously,” Kris said during an interview with Andy Cohen.

Among other celebrities, the Kardashian-Jenner family states that they are routinely tested for the coronavirus, therefore their gatherings are safe. There isn’t any way to confirm how true this is, but it isn’t at the heart of what’s so upsetting. The fact that the Kardashian-Jenners continue to do whatever they want is a sign of immense privilege and that’s what’s troublesome. It was once a treat to watch the Keeping Up With the Kardashians crew live their best life, but now it’s just a painful reminder of the pandemic-ridden world we live in.
