As Keeping Up With The Kardashians is soon coming to an end with their last season set to air in March, some fans think that it is time for the family to cut ties with Kourtney Kardashian's ex Scott Disick. Many of these fans believe that it is in Kourtney's best interest that Scott is no longer close with the family. This is not surprising, as fans have already discussed that they are tired of Scott's ongoing shenanigans.
Kourtney and Scott have spent a lot of time over the past few years working on their amicable relationship in an effort to co-parent their three kids together. Since they called it quits for good both Kourtney and Scott have been seeing other people. While Scott has been in a relationship with Amelia Hamlin for a few months now, he continues to flirt with Kourtney on a regular basis. Alas, Kourtney doesn't seem to be phased by it as she just went public with her new boyfriend Travis Barker after the two spent Valentine's Day together.
But after more than 14 years, it might be time for the Kardashian family to cut ties with Scott Disick. According to certain KUWTK fans, it is best for both Kourtney and her relationship with Travis Barker if her family takes a step back from Scott for the time being. The family needs to stop treating Scott as the "7th Kardashian-Jenner sibling" as it is not healthy for Kourtney. While it is understandable why the family seems to have taken him in considering that he has no family of his own, he and Kourtney can never fully move on with their lives if the family continues to include him in nearly everything. Scott is "essentially family" to the Kardashian-Jenner bunch, but that does not mean that can't limit their interactions with him.
There are numerous speculations regarding why the family continues to allow Scott to be so involved in their everyday lives. For starters, in typical Kardashian style, they may have needed to keep Scott around for the sake of their show. Scott tends to bring humor and excitement to the series, allowing the family to continue cashing in. He could also potentially be under contract with the show, forcing him to stick around as well. The fans are also obsessed with the idea of Kourtney and Scott getting back together. This never-ending hope adds tension to the show, specifically when Scott flirts with Kourtney. While fans do want the family to make some clear boundaries with Scott, they do not want them to cut ties completely for the sake of Kourtney's children.
