Travis Scott and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner have been issued a number of blows following the unexpected Astroworld tragedy. The rapper has been doing damage control to repair his image after 10 lives were lost and many were left injured from a mass casualty at his annual music festival. As Travis works to clear his name from the more than 200 lawsuits against him, he's been hit with even more setbacks. Travis is having his biggest headlining shows pulled from under him as well as watching the decline of his spiked beverage.
Travis recently broke his silence by appearing in his first interview since the tragedy last month. Travis explained how he was unaware of what was happening in the audience when swarms of his fans rushed the stage and caused devastation where people were crushed, fainted, and trampled over. As a result, Travis has been named in over 200 lawsuits against him and the event producers behind Astroworld. On top of the legal woes, Travis and Kylie Jenner had their W Magazine cover pulled before it was leaked online. But that's not where Travis's rise from the tops ends.
After less than a year of being on store shelves, Travis' spiked seltzer drink Cacti has been discontinued. Anheuser-Busch made an official announcement that the company would be discontinuing Travis' Cacti hard seltzers, Ad Age reports. "After careful evaluation, we have decided to stop all production and brand development of CACTI Agave Spiked Seltzer," the company said in a statement. "We believe brand fans will understand and respect this decision," Following the announcements, Cacti's social media pages were pulled offline. The spokesperson for the company also declined to confirm if the decision had anything to do with the Astroworld tragedy. However, the setbacks weren't done.
Just two days after Cacti was discontinued, Coachella announced that Travis had been removed from the 2022 festival lineup, Variety reports. Travis was possibly hoping to make a big comeback at the popular Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The last Coachella festival was hosted before the COVID-19 pandemic, so many concertgoers are excited for it to return. Alas, following what occurred at Travis' Astrolworld festival, Coachella event organizers decided the "SICKO MODE" rapper should be pulled from the event's lineup. This Coachella snub follows a Change.org petition that was started in the days after the Astroworld tragedy that called for Travis' removal from Coachella’s lineup. The petition had nearly 60,000 signatures in recent weeks.
When considering the petition, it appears that the general public was the ones to get Travis pulled from the festival lineup. Between Travis' axed Coachella set, his discontinued spiked seltzer, and swarms of lawsuits, things are still not looking good for the rapper. Aside from the arrival of his second child with Kylie Jenner, there isn't much good news coming his way. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's pregnancy might be the only thing Travis can look forward to now that he's on the brink of being canceled.
