Preview pages have been unveiled for the fourth issue of Keanu Reeves' blood-soaked action comic, BRZRKR. The comic book from Boom! Studios focuses on B., an 80,000-year-old immortal looking to achieve his demise while working as an agent for the United States government. The fourth issue will be revealing the final pieces of information regarding B.'s backstory.

BRZRKR is a limited comic book series that will be running for 12 issues coming from the creative team of Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, Ron Garney, and Bill Crabtree.  The project initially raised over $1 million on Kickstarter. The series is also in the process of being turned into a live-action Netflix movie starring Reeves.

Boom! Studios revealed the cover and preview pages for BRZRKR #4, which is set to reveal the rest of B.'s tragic origins, including what happened to his parents. The issue also explores B.'s present-day mission and if it's possible to find a way to get rid of his immortality. The covers shared below for the fourth issue include a main cover by Rafael Grampá, who worked on the art for Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child. The first variant is by Christian Ward (Invisible Kingdom) and the second variant is by Mirka Andolfo (Sweet Paprika).

The preview pages shared for this issue are certainly less graphic than the previous gory issues of BRZRKR. The idea of the government creating an army of super-soldiers feels very reminiscent of Marvel's take on Captain America's creation, though it presents the reasonable motivation for why the government would help B. regain his memories as part of a deal to create more fighters like him. Readers also get a feel for how he's been used as a weapon his entire life, from his father to the United States government. It looks like things really don't change as much as would be expected over the course of 76,000 years.

Fans have been loving the adventures of B., which has been called John Wick meets Wolverine. The latest issue, BRZRKR #4, will only be available in comic book stores and on the Boom! Studio's webstore starting on July 28, 2021. The first four issues are also being collected together for the first time in BRZRKR VOL 1 SC, which is releasing in comic book stores on September 29, 2021, followed by a bookstore release on October 5, 2021.
