Keanu Reeves, star of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, is causing cuteness overload in a new video in which he answers fan questions about his film career while playing with a bunch of heartbreakingly adorable puppies. His hitman character’s love of dogs is no secret and if this video is anything to go by, it seems Reeves is rather taken with our four-legged friends, too.

Reeves’ career is keeping him quite busy of late. Alongside the release of the third John Wick film - which proved box office predictions correct when it became the film that finally knocked Avengers: Endgame off the top spot - Reeves will also appear in Toy Story 4 when it’s released later this summer. And next year, Reeves will reunite with Alex Winter to once again play Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan and Bill S. Preston Esquire in Bill & Ted Face the Music much to the delight of Bill and Ted fans everywhere.

In the video, made by BuzzFeed Celeb, the actor answers fans’ questions about all those recent films and more - all the while gleefully interjecting his responses with random exclamations of “Puppies!” as said puppies fight each other, pee on the floor and chew on his shoelaces. One fan asked Reeves what the craziest experience he’d had while filming John Wick was and according to the actor that moment came in John Wick 3 when he found himself on a street in Brooklyn doing a gunfight scene on horseback.

However, it seems the stunt work that Reeves is most proud of was the work he did on the very first Matrix movie. According to Reeves’ answers, both The Matrix and John Wick are pretty intense when it comes to stunts and fight scenes albeit with different styles - The Matrix involving more kung fu and John Wick being more judo and jujitsu focused. Not that Reeves finds intense stunt work off-putting at all. In fact, action movies are some of his favorite films to shoot:

“I love doing action films. I love the training. I love being there as much as I can to create that relationship between the character and the audience.”

As for whether Reeves shares any character traits with John Wick? Just a dry sense of humour according to the actor so it’s safe to assume he’s not so trigger happy as his hitman counterpart. Other interesting tidbits revealed in the video include that if Reeves could play any superhero or villain in the Marvel or DC universe he would pick Wolverine and that he thinks John Wick and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan would get on well if they met each other: “That’d be an interesting conversation. Maybe they could talk about music."

Reeves also revealed what it was like making Toy Story 4 in which he voices a Canadian stuntman toy called Duke Caboom: “It was a lot of fun to do that film. It’s a cool character, it’s a wonderful story. Pixar’s great.” Most importantly, the John Wick star answered a question that’s been bugging movie fans for years: Are we in the matrix? Reeves says no - phew.
