Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian called it quits on her marriage with Kanye West and filed for divorce in February of 2021, but Kanye claims he has yet to see divorce papers. Kim and Kanye have been the topic of many conversations following their breakup announcement, especially after Kim's recent appearances with Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson. While it seems to many that the billion-dollar couple is over for good, Kanye tells a different story.

Kim and Kanye first got married in May 2014. The two frequently made headlines as many tuned in to watch the Kardashian-West family drama on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kanye has criticized Kim publicly over the years and fans have suggested that he made references to cheating on her in his music. Some fans have also suggested that his song "I Thought About Killing You" was about Kim, but he has stated the song was about himself. Kim filed for divorce in February. After appearing on Saturday Night Live and sharing an on-screen kiss with Pete Davidson, Kim has been seen with Pete several times. Rumors about the two possibly dating began circulating when they were seen together holding hands at Knott's Berry Farm and grew when Kim was seen in New York City. Most recently, Kim was seen having a private dinner with Pete. Following speculations regarding the nature of Pete and Kim's relationship with one another, Kanye has publicly expressed his disdain for the situation.

On Friday, Kanye discussed his album Donda, Kim and Pete rumors, and significant moments throughout his career on the show Drinking ChampsNot only does Kanye not approve of the situation with Pete and Kim, he tells Drinking Champs that Kim's side of the story simply isn't the truth and suggested that she was coached into saying they're divorced as a publicity stunt for Saturday Night Live, saying "SNL making my wife say ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off..." Kanye seems to claim that Kim never filed for divorce at all; or at the very least, has seen no evidence of the divorce being official personally, saying "I never have seen the papers." Kanye maintains that he and Kim are still together. "We’re not even divorced," Kanye said.

Kanye also expressed that he has no interest in a divorce with Kim, despite all of their ups and downs over the years. He claims that he wants to continue the marriage for the sake of his children four young children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, and says that the children don't want Kim and Kanye to get divorced. "My kids want their parents to stay together," says Kanye. Kanye did not specify whether or not the children have said this to him directly, but he adds that he wants to stay with Kim, saying "I want their parents — I want us to be together.”

Are Kim and Kanye finally over for good? Kanye doesn't seem to think so, regardless of what Kim has stated publicly. Given the fact that the two have remained together amid countless bouts of controversy, it almost seems hard to believe that the final straw for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars could be a comedian from Staten Island awkwardly sporting a fez. However as many will recall, the last relationship to have helped Pete maintain relevancy was with pop icon Ariana Grande, so a fling with Kim really doesn't seem so far-fetched. As for whether or not the divorce papers ever graced Kanye's presence, fans will either have to take his word for it or wait for receipts to be released by Kim.
