Rocket Arena is a game where players can face off against each other as they engage in a rocket-based brawl. Similar to games like Fortnite and Smash Bros., the game sports several game modes and competitor options in order to make an entertaining fight-based competition.

One of Rocket Arena’s competitors is Kayi, an ice-themed character who hails from the frozen kingdom of Serrata Peaks. Originally a princess, the young Kayi was forced to flee her kingdom after a coup. She has since entered the most recent rocket tour and came equipped with her precise crossbow and grappling hook.

Ability Overview for Kayi in Rocket Arena

As with all competitors, Kayi has three abilities: a primary ability which determines her base attacks, a secondary ability, and a special ability.

Charged Bolt (Primary Ability): A precision shot capable of being charged for extra damage. Because it is so reliant on player accuracy, some players may have difficulty playing her. But her charged shot is nothing to sneeze at damage wise. Assuming the enemy has already taken damage, Kayi’s charged shots can easily finish them off and KO them.

Snow Globe (Secondary Ability): An area-of-effect ability that puts down a giant globe capable of slowing down incoming projectiles. While it is not as effective as the rocket magnet item, the cold-themed ability provides players another precious few seconds to avoid, evade or block incoming rockets. But it has another ability: adding more damage and speed to Kayi’s charged bolts. However, this requires Kayi to actually be within the snow globe. But as with several other shooter games, standing in one spot is usually not the best idea since it makes the player a sitting target. But there are instances where this ability is incredibly useful.

Grapple Hook (Special Ability): A relatively simple ability, the grapple hook allows Kayi to traverse great distances by throwing her hook to nearby surfaces. Be it for getting out of an enemy’s range, quickly entering battle, or just nabbing an item box; this ability is arguably her most useful. It can also be used to damage enemies from long distances.

Kayi Tactics in Rocket Arena

With most of her abilities focusing on either enhancing or slowing down movement, Kayi is an incredibly mobile character that is capable of providing support to her teammates. Mostly in the form of picking off damaged opponents or putting down her snow globe to serve as a buffer for incoming rockets. Whatever the game mode, Kayi players should seek to work alongside their teammates and provide assistance wherever they are able.

But it is in-game modes like mega-rocket and treasure hunt where Kayi can excel. Her grapple hook ability means she can quickly get to wherever she needs to go, and this can be used to great effect when needing to capture a rocket zone or to quickly collect gold coins.

Her snow globe ability can be especially useful in these modes too, easily being able to serve as a useful buffer for players who may be forced to either remain in one spot or otherwise be hampered in their ability to move. For example, a snow globe placed in a rocket capture zone can all but ensure that teammates  forced to remain within the capture zone will have an easier time avoiding incoming damage.
