From Legacies to Fear the Walking Dead to Barry, actress Karen David has had a plethora of success in hit shows that folks all know and love (or hate). For any actor or actress, there’s no such thing as a minor role, and Karen David has played many different kinds, ranging from minor appearances to major recurring characters.

David’s success definitely goes noticed, with roles ranging from being a detective to a talented singing princess to a witch at a paranormal boarding school. Here are ten of her great roles she’s starred in, including Once Upon a Time!

Once Upon A Time

First and foremost is Karen David’s stunning role as Jasmine in Once Upon a Time. Starring in nine episodes in a single season, David made a lasting impact playing an all-time favorite princess.

Unfortunately, as Once Upon a Time’s seasons continued, their popularity and storytelling went down.

Legacies

The ending to The Originals made viewers cry (or angry, depends on who is asking), but a good thing that came out of it was Legacies. Legacies follow Haley and Klaus’s daughter, Hope, as she attends a school built for all paranormal and magical beings.

That means witches, werewolves, vampires, and more. In this show, Karen David plays Emma Tig, a witch and former guidance counselor at the school.

Galavant

Galavant, while short-lived, is one of the funniest musical-comedies to date on television. In this show, Karen David shows off her triple-threat talents by playing Princess Isabella, a witty and fun-loving character.

Despite its two-season reign from 2015 - 2016, it received an 8.1 out of 10 stars on IMDB.com. It’s been a while since ABC brought television a musical comedy and only time will tell until there will be another like Galavant.

Fear the Walking Dead

Another spinoff Karen David has starred in, Fear the Walking Dead is the sister to the ever-popular The Walking Dead. Instead of Georgia, Fear the Walking Dead is set in Los Angeles and it follows two families instead of the usual rag-tag group in The Walking Dead.

David plays Grace, a nuclear power plant worker who was recently revealed to be pregnant! While the world may not need another apocalypse show right now, seeing Karen David kick some zombie butt isn’t always a bad thing to watch.

Criminal Minds

This epic show that has lasted for 15 years was one of the series Karen David left her mark on in 2018 as Mary Meadows. She appeared on two episodes of Criminal Minds, where she portrayed an agent with the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program.

Despite only being on two episodes, she made a big break on one of the most-watched cable television shows on CBS.

Barry

Barry is one of those one-of-a-kind shows that you won’t regret watching. This genius series comes from Bill Hader himself. He plays the lead hitman who travels to Los Angeles and ends up being involved in an acting class.

In Barry, Karen David plays Sharon Lucado, who appeared twice in season one, in episodes five and seven.

The Tiger Hunter

As the first movie on this list, The Tiger Hunter premiered at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival in 2016, along with being an original selection at six other film festivals.

Karen David plays Ruby Iqbal in this comedy about a man trying to marry his childhood sweetheart. David plays the childhood sweetheart and throughout the film, moviegoers get to see a heartfelt romantic comedy that got almost 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Cold Feet

There is a lot of TV comedy-dramas about couples and friends in their 20s navigating life, but what about people in their 30s? What about British people in their 30s? Well, this is a show Karen David stars in that lets audiences get to see just that.

In Cold Feet, David stars as Angela Zubayr, a recurring role on the series. She plays the love interest and daughter of a millionaire tycoon. She eventually leaves the show with Angela getting a great job promotion in Singapore. Who doesn't love a good career boost?

Provoked: A True Story

Provoked: A True Story is one of those "based on a true story" movies and it’s an enticing one at that. It’s based on the story of a Punjabi woman who leaves India to wed a British man. Things turn sour when her husband becomes abusive and she ends up spending time in prison for his eventual murder.

For this movie, Karen David fills the role of Asha. While it isn’t a major role, her involvement in this film is great since it tells how the UK changed its laws on spousal abuse.

The Rookie

Last but not least is The Rookie, Nathan Fillion’s crime drama-comedy about a man switching careers and joining the LAPD. Some say it's a mid-life crisis, but that’s up to Nathan to determine.

In this one, Karen David stars in a recurring role as Detective Rita Calderon. This isn’t the first time fans ahve seen David fulfilling a police-type role and it may not be the last since she simply does them so well.
