The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner recently found herself at at the receiving end of climate activist criticism for her private jet usage, and so did Taylor Swift, but Kylie appears to be getting the most shade. Taylor's connection to the Kar-Jenner family goes back to 2016, when Kim Kardashian released edited clips of Taylor agreeing to Kanye West releasing a song featuring lyrics about her. This was unearthed after she publicly denied giving him permission. The situation started a feud between the two, with Kim encouraging social media users to gang up on Taylor. Luckily for the "All Too Well" singer, her full conversation with Kanye was released, and it proved that she was telling the truth the whole time.

Years after the incident, Taylor has found herself tied to The Kardashians family again. Kylie recently shared photos of herself and her boyfriend Travis Scott on Instagram, posing in front of their private jets. Fans called her tone deaf, and felt that she was once again bragging about her wealth. She's also recently been criticized for taking very short flights on her plane, which is very harmful to the environment. Shortly after the controversy, Taylor found herself at number one on a list of celebrities with the biggest carbon footprints. The list claims that the country music sensation turned pop diva has taken 170 flights since January.

While Taylor topped the list that Kylie didn't make it onto, losing out to her older sister Kim and Travis, the public seems more lenient about Taylor. The Kar-Jenners have long been guilty of being out of touch, and failing to recognize their privilege. Recently, Kim released a $673 skincare product bundle, and fans couldn't believe how expensive the group of items was. Because of their ignorance, when the Kar-Jenners make missteps, they're more likely to receive harsh criticism. For example, after Kylie's private jet post surfaced, along with evidence of her very short flights, fans called her a climate criminal. Taylor, on the other hand, has had a lot more fans jumping to her defense than The Kardashians stars will ever have. Despite the Kim vs Taylor era, when Taylor's reputation was in disrepair, the "Love Story" singer has been known for her kindness and generosity throughout her career. When she has a slip-up, it's often dismissed because the good outweighs the bad. For example, while the Kar-Jenners continued flaunting their wealth during the Covid-19 pandemic, Taylor was donating thousands of dollars to fans who were struggling to pay their rent.

However, Taylor's good deeds go back way farther than the pandemic. In 2019, the star called upon the White House to pass the Equality Act, which would protect the LGBTQ+ community from discrimination. She's also regularly found herself at the top of "most charitable celebrities" lists throughout the years. While Taylor has not gotten away scot-free, and has received plenty of angry tweets from climate activists, most tweets have been memes from fans, who are joking about the situation. Some fans even jumped to Taylor's defense, saying that the star lives in London with her boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn, but must make regular visits to Nashville to see her mother, Andrea Swift, who has been battling cancer for around seven years. The singer's dedicated "Swifties" are far more likely to defend her than The Kardashians fans are to defend the Kar-Jenners. This is because Taylor has spent more than fifteen year of fame thanking her supporters. For example, Taylor has become known for inviting her fans to Secret Sessions at her various homes, so they can hear her new albums first.

Clearly, in fans' eyes, Kylie hasn't earned the right to be environmentally irresponsible. Maybe she should try connecting more with her fans, so they'll be on her side when she makes a mistake. A representative for Taylor has come out with claims that the star lends her private jet out often, which could be an explanation for why it's made so many flights in 2022. It's certainly surprising that momager Kris Jenner hasn't come up with a convincing reason for her daughter's private jet excess. The Kardashians star's family may have won a battle against the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer in the past, but this time, as Taylor sings in the song, Kylie has gotten her Karma.
