Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods’ friendship ended roughly a year and a half ago. Looking back on Kylie’s old friendship, fans feel that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was better suited with her previous gal pal.
The dynamic duo allegedly met in middle school through their mutual friend, Jaden Smith. Jordyn’s family is quite close with the Smiths because her late father, John Woods, was a sound engineer for The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. John became friends with Will Smith while working on the show, which is how their families became associated. After meeting through Jaden, Jenner and Woods were fast friends and remained close into their young adult years. On Life of Kylie, fans gained insight into the two media personality’s lives. Kylie and Jordyn often hung out together and went on vacations. At one point, Jordyn even lived in Kylie’s home. Unfortunately, their friendship came to an abrupt end when Jordyn had an affair with Tristan Thompson, Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend at the time. Jenner and Woods no longer hang out in the public eye which leads fans to believe that they aren’t close anymore. About a year and a half has passed since their fall out, and fans commemorate their friendship and feel that Kylie was a more inspiring influencer when Jordyn was in her life.
According to Cheat Sheet, fans think Kylie was “sweeter and more relatable” when Woods was her friend. Another fan wrote, “I watched Kylie’s reality show and I do believe Jordyn kept her grounded. Like, when Jordyn said that Kylie was just buying houses and cars like she couldn’t get enough…it was clear she found it jarring. Kylie seems like the type who needs a real friend like that who can check her.” It definitely appears as though Kylie was less materialistic with Jordyn as her friend.
The Kylie Skin founder has a new best friend now, Stassie Karanikolaou, pictured together above. Many people think that Stassie and Kylie only became friends because Jordyn stepped out of the picture, although this isn’t true. The relatively new besties have known each other for a long time, but they definitely became closer because of Kylie’s fallout with Jordyn. Fans also believe that Jenner has an entirely different influence with her new BFF. “I feel like Jordyn kept her grounded a bit but Stassie clearly gave into the lifestyle and is only inflating her ego,” a fan commented.
Kylie is at an age where she’s heavily influenced by friends and others who are close to her. It makes perfect sense that her persona and behavior would be altered around different people. Just because Kylie was more down to earth when she was friends with Jordyn, that doesn’t mean they should’ve stayed friends. After all, Kylie had to put her family first in that scenario and Jordyn took the opportunity to grow from the experience as well. Being in your twenties is about meeting lots of people, experimenting with various lifestyles and generally just finding yourself. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is simply exploring herself through assorted friends and experiences. As she matures, Kylie can decide for herself what the best way of life is and who the best companion is.
