Momager Kris Jenner is speaking out about the end of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and sharing some of the reasons why she made the tough decision. The family matriarch is crediting social media as a huge factor in ending the show after 20 seasons.

KUWTK fans were shocked last month when Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to announce that season 20 would be the last season of the long-running show. Kardashian and her family became household names through the success of the show. Having premiered in 2007, the show followed the Kardashian-Jenner clan as they rose to superstardom. But after 13 years of sharing their life on reality television, the family decided it was time to say goodbye. “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Kim captioned the September 8th post. "After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years," she shared with her fans.

Now, in a new interview with Beauty Inc., family matriarch Kris Jenner opened up about social media played a part in the show's loss of surprise. "When we first started, there was no Instagram or Snapchat or other social media platforms," Jenner explained. "The world has changed. Now there are so many, the viewer doesn't have to wait three or four months to see an episode. We can give them all of the information anyone would ever want to know in real time." At the time it was announced, there were mixed reports over what led to the family's decision. Some claimed that Kim, Kourtney, and Kylie threatened to quit the show. However, that was never confirmed or denied.

Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick were the only two that expressed their disappointment with the show ending. It's reported the two wanted to make some more money in the reality TV game. But, considering all the spin-off shows KUWTK has already produced, many are already speculating the possible spin-offs that could come our way. Jenner's children have all launched their own businesses in addition to starting their own families (minus Kendall). There are 10 grandchildren that are currently stealing the spotlight from their famous parents. In addition, Kim's currently studying to become a lawyer and has a future prison reform docuseries in the works.

The possibilities are endless for the Kardashian-Jenner empire. From their fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands to their ever-growing family dynamic. Their one self-made family that the public can't get enough of.
