After seeing last week's episode of The Kardashians, fans think Kendall Jenner lied about where she was during Kris Jenner's birthday party to avoid addressing the Astroworld tragedies. Kris' birthday falls on November 5, the same night as Travis Scott's 2021 Astroworld festival that ended in disaster. During the concert, attendees were crushed by the crowd, resulting in several injuries and 10 deaths. Fans screamed for Travis to stop the show and even alerted crew members, but the show went on without the rapper acknowledging the fatalities. Since then, Travis has remained pretty low-key, only recently reappearing at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

During The Kardashians episode, Kris hosted a birthday dinner at her brand-new home with guests like Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. Khloe Kardashian was also in attendance, and some eagle-eyed fans even spotted Rob Kardashian, though he was mostly hidden from the cameras. The event also acted as a way for Kris to break the ice between Scott Disick and Travis Barker, who at this point was newly engaged to Kourtney Kardashian, so that the two could be around each other at family events and Scott would no longer feel excluded. Kendall did not appear at the dinner, and the star insists it was because she was on a trip to Miami with her best friend, Hailey Bieber.

However, fans are calling Kendall's bluff and instead believe instead believe she wasn't at Kris' birthday because she was at the Astroworld festival but avoided bringing that up on the show. According to the U.S. Sun, fans caught on to Kendall's alleged lie very quickly and were not afraid to share their opinion. "We're not stupid The Kardashians, we know Kendall was with Kylie and Travis in Houston during the Astroworld accident on Kris's birthday," one fan wrote. Fans pointed out that Kendall was first spotted in Miami on November 12, meaning the footage of her in Miami was recorded a week after Kris' birthday.

Another fan added, "Don't play it off like Kendall was in Miami the whole time." The Kar-Jenners remained very quiet about the Astroworld tragedies. Kylie Jenner laid low for months and did very little promo for The Kardashians when it premiered. Fans believe it was because the star was afraid an interviewer might ask her about the festival. The episode is not the first-time fans have called out the show for being fake, as many believe Kim Kardashian's Roblox storyline was also fabricated.

The fan theories definitely line up, and it seems Kendall did fabricate her whereabouts to avoid controversy. It's not too surprising as the Kar-Jenners are the masters of good PR and will do virtually anything to clear their names. Fans have a right to be upset as the Astroworld events were devastating, and the family has spent months ignoring the situation, though it may not have been appropriate for the tragedies to become a plotline on The Kardashians. So maybe Kendall's lie was for the best.
