Caitlyn Jenner admits that she wishes she was 'closer' to her ex-wife Kris Jenner since their divorce on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. So much has changed since Caitlyn and Kris finalized their divorce in 2014. With their two daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner being grown women, there's no need for Caitlyn and Kris to co-parent or interact with each other like they used to. But with them being married over 20 years, Caitlyn misses having Kris around.
Kris and Caitlyn had been married for 23 years when they decided to divorce. The former couple spent years raising their big blended family and rising to reality TV stardom together. Kris had four kids prior to getting married in 1991 with her ex, Robert Kardashian, and the couple welcomed Kendall and Kylie together. After the marriage was fully dissolved, Caitlyn announced her transition a year later and came out with a memoir that divulged aspects of her time with Kris. Since the book's release, Kris and Caitlyn have had a strained relationship with little to no contact with each other.
But Caitlyn recently reminisced on her time with Kris and admitted to not having a healthy relationship with her ex. "From my standpoint, our relationship is not as good as it should be," Caitlyn told one of her housemates on Big Brother VIP in a clip posted by the Daily Mail. "I don't have any hard feelings towards her. We did a great job and this and that. Yeah, I wish it was closer, but it's not." When asked if Kris had any "misgivings" during their marriage, Caitlyn explained why the word was "an understatement." Over the years since their divorce, they both have shared the strain they tolerated during the final years of their marriage.
Now as a divorced couple with two successful daughters, Caitlyn says their relationship is "okay" but could be better when it comes to speaking about their kids. "It's all about how the mother and father get along together," Caitlyn said. "Is it easy, is it good when they see each other? Is there any tension?" Strained relationship aside, Kris has been supportive of Caitlyn since their split and her transition and earlier this year, she credited Caitlyn with being a great father to their two kids. Also, the Kardashian sisters have been present to help Caitlyn celebrate her birthday.
With Keeping Up With the Kardashians being behind them, the KarJenners are set to create new memories with their new Hulu show. There's no word on if Caitlyn will be included in filming but she looks like she's open to it. Still, it seems like Kris has fully moved on from her marriage to Caitlyn and it will likely have to be up to Kendall and Kylie to bring their parents together for any major moments.
