According to sources for the Yeezy founder, he'd rather his kids grow up outside of "fake" Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is comfortable with their current life in Calabasas.
The marital woes between Kim and Kanye have filled media headlines for the last few months. While neither of them has spoken out publicly about the reports, sources for the two superstars continue to spill details about their impending divorce to the press. Most recently, it was said the couple has stopped attending marriage counseling with Kim having hired her longtime divorce lawyer Laura Wasser sometime last year. Just last week, Kanye was spotted returning to Los Angeles after spending months in seclusion at his ranch in Cody, Wyoming. All the while, reports claim Kim grew tired of her husband around the time he launched his presidential campaign. Sources for Kanye say he found her and her family's reality star lifestyle to be "unbearable."
New reports for the "Stronger" rapper say he is fed up with life in LA and wants his children to live in a compound outside of the city. “Kanye has plans for the family to have a compound," a source told Hollywood Life. "It’s outside of LA in the desert somewhere. He’s absolutely done with living in LA and feels everyone and everything is fake.” Since tying the knot back in 2014, the superstar couple has welcomed four children: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, Psalm, 1. The family has split their time between their Calabasas home and their Wyoming ranch. But in recent months, Kim and their children have remained in LA while Kanye lived at the ranch. “He doesn’t want to bring his children up that way,” the insider added, while also hinting at growing “tension” between the rap/fashion mogul and KKW Beauty founder.
“He wants to build a compound in the desert," the source explained. "The geography of them as a family unit right now is a large source of the tension between them, but things are starting to get better as they begin communicating.” It was recently shared that Kim was holding off on filing for divorce after seeing improvements in her communication with her husband. Considering Kanye's recent return to LA, it's possible the pair are finding some common ground. Many fans of the couple are hoping to see them stay together. Some insiders have claimed Kim will open up about their marital woes in the final season of KUWTK.
It looks like Kim and Kanye are still doing the work to keep their marriage intact. She might just have to consider packing her bags and moving to the desert for a little while.
